question about laproscopic cholesectomy effects if anyone can help me.

Ok guys I had my gallbladder removed on tuesday laproscopically. I have a question if anyone can answer been having sharp pain in upper abdomen    started  a day  ago could that be just a symptom of my gas pain from the laproscope. my typical symptoms are chest pain and  shoulder pain  they said I would have from gas but now started a day ago I have sharp pain in my upper abdomen that comes and goes. If anyone  can give me advice would be appreciated. Yes i have been doing alot of walking around the house trying to expel gas. Havent had a bm yet eithier but I think its from pain meds.
im dxed with  herniated discs,fibromylagia , scolosis,ddd,athritis, spinal stenosis ,gerd,gastric ulcer,gastroparesis..gallbladder removal 3/23/10.
 
meds,ambien, prilosec otc,lortab ,reglan,flonase and  trazodone.

Kimber mine was done lap to and yes I had pain like you are speaking of. It took quite a while to get rid of the gas. The gas pain was worse than the surgerical pain. All I got told was to walk and that eventually I would get rid of it. I guess that is the trade off to having an open surgery, huh.

But, if you are concerned by all means contact your surgeon just to make sure.
 

crohns disease dx 2002 & small bowel resection, still looking for remission whatever that is, chronic pain 22 yrs, added ulcerative colitis 6-05 to the mix, high blood pressure 28 yrs, aortic heart valve insuffiency, depression, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis lumbar spine, scoliosis lumbar spine, peripheral neuropathy hands & feet, COPD & on oxygen therapy, lupus & psoriasis and psoratic arthritis. Several other health issues just not enough room to list it all. Too many surgeries to list and too many medications to list. Currently on 17 different daily medications. Intrathecal pain pump implanted June 05.

Thanks Stray, I should be ok not having a fever or drainage in my incision. I figured that what it was. I was just checking if anyone that had that symptom who had a laproscopic gallbladder removal. Thanks for your response.
