Hello everyone,

I'm still here, I'm trying to save up money for the internet to be set back up in my place.

I went to the doctor on Thursday, and my neighbor/friend was going with me, and as she was coming down the stairs to my apartment (she lives upstairs from me) and she fell down the stairs, I went running out the door so fast I almost tripped also, she really banged herself up but wasnt too bad, and she went with me to the doctor anyways (an hour and half drive each way) eventhough I tried to convince her to drop her off at he ER instead. But she decided to not go the ER cause she was seeing her doctor later that day anyways. So after we got back from my appointmentand i took her to her doctor, and I help her explain to her doctor that she needed more help with her chronic pain then she was getting (not including the pain she got from falling down the stairs but she also suffers from chronic pancreatitas) and I told her doctor how she cries in pain all the time, and how I've seen her go down hill fast with her pain, and the doctor started her on MScontin and when we left, she hugged me for helping her. She has a arm sling but no broken bones, just really bruised up. I guess sometimes taking someone to your apointments who sees you suffering in pain daily really does work.

But today I've woken up with a sore throat, and headache and a fever with body chills and I feel terrible, and we have a children's birthday party to go to. And I slept all day yesterday, so I guess my body knew it was coming down with something as I never do that. And I dont have a regualuar doctor right now, but I do have an appointment with a new GP on the 8th of April (just someone to cover other issues not including chronic pain) so I hope whatever I have wont get too bad as I have no one to see til then.

Well anyways, I hope everyone is doing well.

Oh please be careful with this stuff. My friend has been suffering with swine flu for over a month now. Get to a walk in clinic or something. Insurance should cover a non-emergency clinic for you and you will be able to be tested. She caught hers in time (we hope) and took the antivirals, but she's still been sick for over a month. She doesn't have a spleen, so she has more problems with infection than most and is now taking more antibiotics.

Best to you!

Carmen,

That was a nice thing you did for your friend. Taking someone along to appointments for support definitely helps.
I hope you're feeling better this evening!

hugs,
Skeye

Carmen,
What a wonderfully kind thing you did for your friend. I am a firm believer in karma......send good things out into the world and you will get them back tri-fold. :-D I hope you feel better quickly.......don't wait too long before going to the doc. This stuff can be really nasty! Take care of YOU and wishing you a tolerable pain day ~
