You just can't catch a break right now. It seems like everything is one step forward and two steps back. I was really hoping you could get a Dr's perspective on this healing thing.

On a better note, though, it does seem that they aren't concerned about the problems and must see it often or they would be getting you in. Dr's these days are so concerned about lawsuits that they would never risk something serious happening if there was a possibility in their mind. Perhaps this means they are used to these responses.

None the less, you are on my mind and I hope you feel better soon!!

Kimber,
Just keep in mind it's a holiday weekend, and a lot of people either may not be working tomorrow or will be taking off early. Make sure the office is open tomorrow - but be sure to call in the morning, or you may have to go the holiday weekend hurting unnecessarily. Just say that you need some more help with the pain and maybe the gas, and that you want to have a decent holiday weekend. Hopefully, they'll help you out temporarily until Tuesday.

Ahh Kimber, I'm so sorry you got kicked back and that means your meds too! I hope all goes well and that you will do o.k. with your meds and then with the surgery. You had kind of prepared for the surgery and the rug got pulled out from under you which makes things that much more nerve wrecking. I'm thinking of you as always.
Take care,

Good afternoon Kimber! Well, what do we do with you now? Seriously, I'm a hoping all will be all right, and that things will work fine in the long run. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks for me, and to tell you the truth, I feel like my healing has taken a back seat, and is on the slow track too. My incision site is the sorest thing on me, in my lower gut area. I finally had to break down and take an Oxycontin to give me some longer relief.

I just think maybe we are expecting too much too soon. Our surgery's were major, and it will take the time needed whether we like it or not.

Are you eating the prunes yet, and have you changed your diet as well? I was told that eating rice, will help with the gas problem. Are you walking?

Lets hope you will get to feeling better soon, and that you will get the answers that your looking for when you finally visit with the surgeon.

Kimber, sending you hugs and good thoughts. I hope you have a calm, painfree weekend and I just know your appointment on Tuesday will go fine. I have no doubt the doctor will ensure you are covered for pain meds as needed.

Take care of yourself this weekend, rest and relax.

Hugs,
Pam

I'm going to have to give the credit to PaLady, as she posted a reply about the prunes. I just thought I would take some of the Positive Wise Advice and give it a try. It has worked fairly well for me as well.

So now we both have a little bit of wisdom under our belt, that we can share with others. Actually, the Prunes are pretty good aren't they? A natural candy they are!
