Kimber I totally relate to this, in that Chartruex has been so supportive as well, and then the cat thing. My or our cat has been the same here. He used to snuggle up to me during the night, but since I have a fairly large scar and it is pretty tender, I keep him at arms length at night. This has not gone unnoticed by him, so he has started sleeping with the wife. He has been so fun for the both us us though and I enjoy him greatly.

Cats are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for being! They just get ticked off with us when things don't go their way and watch out when a feline is mad! They let the whole world know about it! I'm so very glad those of you who have had surgery recently, have had those furry loved ones to give you the happiness the extra pain tries to rob you of. I just saw my neurosurgeon, have an MRI with contrast tomorrow for the disease in my neck and apparently back as well. He also advised surgery for my shoulder so, I suppose I'll be relying on my darling BrandoFabio (I swear he has multiple personalities!) to keep me company after the surgery and the ensuing 6 months to a year of intensive PT.
Good luck to each of you and blessings,
Catz4
I'm called Cat, but as there are few other Cat's on here, I put the number of cats I have and combined it to spell out Catz4

Thank You Kimber..this was very nice of you...
Prayers to you Catz4, Kimber and SE
I consider each one of you good friends, this is about the only website I can keep track of and the people here
in this forum are all very nice...I sure hope Pete's Trip comes back and gives us an update...
My kitty cats, 2 are rescued one from Hope (Demitri) and one from the local shelter(Remington) and one was given by a friend (Chancellor) who knew
about the passing of my 17 yr old Maximiilion.
But I still think these kitties picked me and I was just in the right place at the right time....Animals can be remarkable friends...

Char,
Hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but since there's a lot of "cat" stuff going on :-) I wanted to tell you I was ROFL with your story about Remington opening doors and needing child proof locks! I had to put special latches on all my louvre closet doors when I had my cat as he'd use his paw to open them where the hinges were and just go right in and get at whatever was inside! He opened a top cupboard door once and got way back inside when I wasn't home. He was pretty young then and when I got home I couldn't find him. Well, he had wedged himself back in between a lot of cans and evidently couldn't figure out how to get out. LOL He never opened another cupboard door again, but he sure kept tugging at those closet doors! And he'd put his paw under any door I dared to close and just jiggle it as hard as he could, making his wishes more than known.

Oh, those felines! How I miss one! Someday....

Thanks PALady and I'll be hoping that someday you can get another lil kitty...
Retiremom has me worried, the stuff I've been going thru is real, I just had bloodwork done on Thursday, and have injections coming up this Thursday
for my ribs as I still have a broken rib, and I want to let y'all know I'll not be posting for awhile as I'll be having quite a few doctors appointments, for me
this website has helped and it's gone off subject at times, but there are a lot of nice people here. My postings are real...
Take care and hugz to all

Char,
We definitely know your postings are real! And I hope we don't get to the point where we can't have a little levity here and there like with this thread, but I guess that will be up to the admin and the mods.

I want to wish you well with the injections - I hope they're to help with the rib pain. I sure understand about having so many doctor appointments you won't be able to post, but let us know how you're doing when you can.

Char - you've been here longer than I have and I've never seen any of your posts be a problem. Please don't worry about this bump in the road in the forum. It'll smooth out. Focus on your health - and keeping those kitties out of the cupboards!

Hugs,

PaLady
