How tall are you? Are you content with it? Has it bothered you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller and why? It seems we always want what we don't have, especially when we were young. So these are some questions for you to consider and post about.

I 'was' just short of 5'6" most of my life. But over the last 2-3 years I've lost some height. The last physical I had I measured in at 5'-4 1/2"! I was shocked. I was OK with 5'5" but going below that did stun me a bit. I've always thought it would be cool to be very short, I have no idea why. But I would prefer that I had started out that way and not shrink to a new low...lol I'm not too keen on the idea of being really tall. Been around family friends who the parents and sons and daughter are all at least 6' or more and they just seem like giants to me. Plus the issue of finding clothing and shoes to fit! Just never seem OK for me.

What's your height and opinion on it?

And why did you not ask what our weight was? :)

Well, I'm 5' 11" just shy of 6' I always wanted to be over 6' after I entered the business world, because for some silly reason, I was under the impression, taller men had more success in business.
I don't know if that is really true anymore, as I did very well in business. However due to health problems, I sold it.

Now that I had my fusion, and really know so little about it, I'm afraid to check my height again, as I know they took out two disk.

I imagine White Beard will straighten me out on this, and give us an education on it. I know, he knows his stuff on it, and I respect that.

What's your height and opinion on it?
   Dear Chutz,
I am 5 feet 5inches tall. I noticed some observations about my new hight....
1. I have tip toe (or stand on toes) to get a good kiss and snuggle in!
2. My family looses me frequently in the store!
3. Ask to have for help with holiday dishes and cook ware
4. The tops of the shelving units don't get dusted as much as I would like.
5. Both my daughters are asking to be measured daily! They think they are getting taller very fast!
6. ....my husband tells me I don't have to bend over so far to pick stuff up... you'll have to excuse me I am gonna go get a pillow and smother him!

I am 5'2" tall...I have a big personality, so always thought I should be taller, but for the most part, I'm content with being short. I've always had a thing for tall men though - my husband is 6'5", so you can imagine what we look like, side by side. We make full use of our kitchen though...I take care of stuff in the lower cupboards and he uses the cupboard above the fridge all the time!

I rarely wear high heels to maximize my height...I don't mind being the short one at all!

Both of my kids are quite tall - my son Troy is 6'2" and my daughter Ashley is 5'8" (their dad was quite tall as well). In fact, I think the cat might be taller than me, stretched out from tip to tail!

Conditions: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pelvic Pain, FAI, Reynauds, IBS, Interstitial Cystitis, Surgical Adhesions, Ophthalmic Migraines, Severe Hot Flashes (Surgical Menopause and drug related), plus physically unable to vomit due to Nissen, and I have extremely tiny veins...a joy for blood work or IV's)

I was 5'8 1/2" now measuring 5'7 1/2"
I'm starting to have a neck that reaches the destination before my body....they tell me this is a natural occurance from triple cervical fusion....I don't like it at all!!
Anyway, I love being tall, I have always wanted to be 3 or 4 inches taller, then at my present weight I wouldn't be considered overweightsmhair turn yeah

I'm 5'5". In grade school, I was average or just a little taller than average for my family and friends. In high school, I became "average." I got married, and had my boys (twins). When they were about 3, I found my biological father (I'm adopted), and I discovered just how "short" I would become. My bio-dad is 6'4", my half-brother is 6'8", and my half-sister is close to 6'. Boys' dad is 6'2", so... doing the math... carry the 1... yeah, my boys are tall. They are 16, and they're about 6'2". No, I don't think they're finished growing. We go to visit the bio-dad's family, and I feel like a midget. It's SOOOO different than when I was growing up and I was the tall one!

I've been 5'3" since I was thirteen. :(

I've always wanted to be at least a few inches taller, but that's where I stopped. I do get teased occasionally still for being short....my adult son is 6 feet tall and pats me on the head, which makes me want to bite his kneecap! tongue

My husband is 6'1" so we do look a bit comical standing side by side, but I'm generally in my wheelchair when we go out anymore....

I'm 5'7. I was 5'8 but I lost an inch.  I guess it's due to my back problems.  I have always enjoyed being tall.  I can understand some people wanting to be taller.  My dad was about 2" taller than me and my mom is about the same height as me.  My sister is a little shorter than I am.
I think it would be neat to have a Koffee Klatch where we share our family, like our brothers and sisters.  What do you think about that Chutz.  Would it be safe?

I'm 5'8". I was 5 81/2 before the fusions but I don't mind. My youngest is 6' and the oldest is 6' 1" which makes yelling at them very very funny to watch!
