Hi everyone, well last night was the first time I actually went out in about 2 weeks. I went to the grocery store with hubby. With all that walking my stomach swelled up and was very sore . The pain meds are helping some  so thats good. My back,hips and knees are acting up cause rain is moving in for the weekend. Im 4 weeks post op now  so hopefully in another week or 2 the surgery pain will be feeling better. I talked to a friend of mine that had the same surgery she told me it was 6 weeks before she felt somewhat normal . I hope everyone has a lpd.
 
ps- The Big D has moved in since im not on high doses of pain meds anymore.
im dxed with  herniated discs,fibromylagia , scolosis,ddd,athritis, spinal stenosis , spinal blockage ,gerd,gastric ulcer (2008), pernicous anemia , folic acid anemia and gallbladder removal 3/23/10.
 
meds: lunesta, prilosec otc, ,reglan,bentyl, ibuprofren,Ultracet, folic acid , b12 injections, zyrtec and benadryl.
 
Just added : folic acid supplement  1 mg a day for the next year and also b12 injections increased to once a month. pernicous anemia and  Folic acid anemia.

sounds good that you were able to get out...might get you feeling more normal...
just take it easy and no big outings yet...small steps okay...

Hello Kimber! Im glad to see that you were able to get out of the house for a little walk, but please do not over do it. Give it some time! You will get better, and a month from now you will be up and running again! :)

DDD (Degenerative Disk Disease) S1-L4-L5, Heart Attack 2002, Angioplasty to clear blocked Artery and to implant Stent. Six Epidurals, Disocgram, Melanoma Cancer 07, Lumbar Fusion March of 2010, Four cortisone injections Tendinitis in Elbow.

hi Kimber   It's good to hear that you were able to get out of the house for a bit.  Take it easy though.  I'm glad that the pain meds are helping your pain so you're able to move around now.  Take it day by day.  ((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))
