Have you seen any new products in the grocery store lately that are REALLY "New and Improved"? ...lol You all know what I'm talking about. That old sales pitch splashed across boxes of everything from toilet paper to corn flake cereal. But what's so new and what's actually improved about it?

But now and then we run across a product that is new, clever and actually something you would buy and use. Have you seen something like this lately? The only thing I've seen in a long time that is a good idea is the paper towels that have perforations in the middle of a normal size sheet so you can easily tear off a small sheet, or use 2 small ones for a regular sized, etc. These are handy for little hands and faces and make good napkins for toddlers. Just the right size. Seems much less wasteful to me. I didn't know they existed until I recently purchased a large pack of them from Costco. I just get what's on the coupon usually and these were it! Glad I found them.

Have you found anything?

Hi Chutz. I love the paper towels you mentioned. I recently realized that they have mini-laptop computers. If you have back pain and don't want a bulky laptop on your aching legs, they'd be great.

   Dear Chutz,

Yes. It is called "Lemi Shine" found in the dish washer soap isle at grocery store or even at walk mart. It is used in the dish waser most often for dishes as clean and sparkle as hand washing does. But, it can also be used around the hous for many many other things swell. I highly recommend it.

Yes I found something new in the store about 6 or 8 weeks ago. It was Raspberry cream cheese, I had never seen it before, and I like cream cheese, I am especially fond of the Pineapple Cream cheese and I also like the Strawberry. But I never had seen the Raspberry flavor! So I got it! And it is GREAT I should have gotten two tubs, ! because in a couple of days they were all gone, and I can not find it any where in any of the stores. So I finally E-mailed the company that makes it, and as MY luck would have it, The company quit making it, they said it was because it was not a good seller, and the reason my store had it, was the company was emptying out its warehouse of the product! Well no wonder it wasn't a good seller, they never had in out in the stores! At least not around where I live! I know that because over the years I always check the cream cheese to see what kinds the stores have available. I like it on bagels and crackers and allot of other things! Anyway I thought this Raspberry was absolutely fantastic! It really is ( or should I say was) Good!!!

Anyway it is just my luck! Every time I find something I really like it is nolonger available!

White Beard....

Have you considered making your own Raspberry cream cheese? I always have home grown raspberries in the freezer so it's a snap but you can buy them frozen, possibly, or wait until they are in season. Put some in mini zip lock bags, toss several into a larger zip lock and into the freezer. When you want raspberry cream cheese just bang the frozen little package on the counter and take out a few berries, return the rest to the freezer. Then mix with cream cheese and I would guess they used something to sweeten it since the berries are quite tart. That should give you your favorite any time you want it.

Chutzie

That is something to consider, I have a raspberry patch but there is never enough left over to freeze! But I suppose I could just make my own! It just kind of made me mad, because as soon as I got home and opened the tub or container, and tasted it, it had such a good flavor to it and I personally thought that is was much better than the strawberry cream cheese that they make! And it was just my luck that the company said they are not making it any more! I think I will try and make some myself! Off topic but they had a funnel cake making kit at the grocery store today and boxes of funnel cake mix, so you guessed it I brought one of the kits and a couple of boxes of funnel cake mix! I know they must have seen me comming!

Let me know when you're making the funnel cakes!!! ROAD TRIP!...lol When you run out of the mix just pop me an email and I'll give you a very easy recipe to stir up your own. I've made them with the kids and grandkids and used a kitchen funnel but it's pretty messy. I'm sure a kit would be much easier to use. But wow are those things good!
