I think we are better tuned than any barometer for the weather :)

Those muscle spasms are a really bad problem for me and the only thing that helps is the Ultracet and controlled release Xanax. I can't take muscle relaxers of a more normal nature, but the xanax seems to help with the issue. Perhaps you could speak with the Dr. about that.

Still having the muscle spasms if this dont pass by next week I will go to the dr and asks what he thinks  maybe I need to go back on muscle relaxers again. I cant afford to go this week plus the money of the prescription if he prescribes me anything for it. I hope you have a lpd.

I'm sorry you are having the muscle spasms... that's when my pain is at it's worst (the muscle spasms). Take care of yourself. Hopefully it will go away... but, if not, I think it's good to see your doc next week.

I really do feel for you Kimber! Those muscle spasms are the worst! Even on max dosage of Baclofen I still get them every now and then, ( they seem to come in cycles) I had another sleep study done last night and at 3AM this morning I am trying to scramble out of bed with all the wires connected to me! I had a muscle knotted up into a fist in my right calf and it just would not release! The tech come running in trying to figure out what was going on, as I was saying some choice swear words, at my calf! (smile) "it was either cussing or crying" as it hurt so darn bad! I sure hope they can help you with them! I get them just about everywhere and so far nobody can explain why! Between the charley horse in my leg and having severe night sweats last night, I really don't know which was actually worse! I hate waking up in the night wringing wet too! Glad last night is over!

White Beard, it sounds like you and I spend our nights the same way...in pain, and often awake. Sounds like your sleep study was a bit of a write-off in terms of amount of sleep you managed, but I hope it gave the doctors enough info to go on, to help you more. I also hope this woman and her kids are able to find help in terms of housing, a job and any of the other stuff she'd hoped to get.

hugs,
Pam

Tina, the kind of muscle spasms I am getting is lower back muscle spasms . I havent had them in a year. I have tried massaging the muscles and also have hubby helping me. Using icy hot,hot showers and also heating pad. Whitebeard I can sympathize with you I do get leg cramps from time to time they are the worst and sometimes they do wake me up at night . I just cant get rid of them so I think I visit to the dr is in order. I have been dealing with them over a week . I thought they were weather related but I guess not if its not going away , I also try to walk them off so I am not just being unactive eithier. I am on a pain med doesnt seem to help thats why I think its muscle spasms . My back feels so tight. Here in the us they dont sell any muscle meds otc for the back . all there is ibuprofren and I take that every day. I hope you have a lpd.
