I got up very early this morning and had my son drive me to Portland Oregon (1 hr 45 min) and caught a flight to Boise, ID. I had a car dealer pick me up at the airport with a car I bought for my wife. She has always wanted a convertible so that is what she got. Why a convertible in Oregon? Then I had to take care of all the paperwork and drive another 8 hours home. Since my wife was still at work when I got home it gave me time to wash it up and it is sitting pretty in the garage for when she gets home tonight. What a long day and now I will have to recooperate for the next few days. This ought to take care on any special days I miss for the next year or two possibly even more.

And, you're right.. that bought you a few years - AT least :)

Yes she was pleasantly surprised. We had been talking about one and she wanted a certain color combination and that was why I had go all the way to Boise. She got home late from work but I waited up for her and she had to go sit in it for a little bit. I even had one of her favorite CDs in it so it was already when she turned the key. She did ask me permission to take it to work this morning. She is so cute. She knows now that these next few days are low key for me as it was a long ride. We all make sacrafices with our pain and there are times when we just have to stretch the limit to still enjoy life. If the rain lets up, another guy in the church wants me to go help mow a few lawns for some elderly widows. I just posted this not to draw attention to me but to encourge all of us to take the effort to do something for someone. I know my wife was extremely pleased but so was I to see that I could do something to bless her. Hope all have a great day. Blessings!

"You done, did Good!!!!!" You should be getting a whole heck of a lot of "at-a-boys" for that one! I am really impressed!! But you did set the bar rather high for the rest of us though!!! Now I really am, kind of glad I'm not married any more! With the treatment that you'll be getting for now on, you should be wearing a big smile allot more often, that is for sure!

Good Job!!!

Wow Father John.  That's a really sweet thing to do for your wife.  She's a really lucky lady to have such a sweet and loving husband like you.
