Hello Fam's & Friends!
I was taking a break from writing here on the board because my two sailor Boys are home on leave! They got in Sunday night around midnight after driving down to Fla. from Norfolk Va.

I can't tell you how great it is to see them both! They look so happy and very healthy> they are both very health conscience and go to the gym daily! I can't help bragging about them, they are both so muscular I can't believe my eyes! The first morning they were here I asked what they wanted for breakfast? they asked if I had any eggs, why sure I just bought an 18 pack. Joe took out 16 eggs and got rid of the yokes and made giant egg white sandwiches (about 6" thick!)for he and his brother. I asked why he left two and he said > in case you and Mom wanted some!!! Then he said, don't buy anymore eggs for us, I buy the 1/2 gal containers of egg whites. He came home latter w/ 4 - 1/2 gal of egg whites!

They rested up and played a little bocci & horeshoes till the 95 degree Fla heat got to them, I was sitting under an oak tree chearing them on w/ my Mom who was also so happy to see them! Then we tried to go out fishing yesterday. It was crazy windy 20~30mph winds and the gulf was all whitecaps! We went out about 6 miles and the water was only 4~5' deep and the boat was rocking like crazy. Joe, my older jumped in the 83 degree water but Pete Jr. was afraid of sharks and stayed in the boat. Yes there are sharks out there but it's still a little early for them to be around. We could hardly cast our lines and my anchor wouldn't hold bottom at all. We had a couple hits but didn't catch any so we headed up the Homosassa River to the springs. 72 degree crystal clear water comes out of these huge springs, my temp guage on my fish finder read 77 so in Joe went telling us it wasn't cold> her lives near Seatle Wash. I eased my way in screaming that he is a liar!!! It was COLD to this Fla. fat boy! Pete Jr. refused to go in so Joe got back in the boat and picked him up like a stuffed animal and threw him in! I wish I had a video of that but I was already in snorkling around looking for sea cows. I was the only sea cow in the spring that day although we saw several down river earlier.

So we had a lot of fun even w/ no fish in the boat!

Anyway, the reason I'm posting now is because they left to go visit friends down south where they grew up. The booked a room in a nice hotel on the beach in S.E. Fla. and got a pretty good deal being sailors. I'm glad they are not staying w/ my cranky old friend who's renting my house down there, they are much better off on the beach and close to the down town area to party and scope out the chicks! Sorry about the "chick thing" girls, I don't mean to offend anyone but they are both unattached, ya know, it's still the lingo of choice.

I'll be missing them for a couple days till they come back but I fully understand! Now I know how my Mom felt years ago when I came home only to go out w/ friends and scope chicks!!

Again, sorry, I know this isn't health or pain related but lets just say it's the best medisine I've had in a long time! Better than any dadgum pills!

All for now!

Love Y'all>

PS> with them gone a couple days, I can recover from bumping around out in the boat before our next fishing trip! I'm in agony but it was well woth it! Next time we're gonna git dem fishes!!!

May God be with them during this time of war. They sound so like kids with the eggs thing though lol. Be thankful for the time you do have together and cherish your moments.

Thank both of them for me for serving our country. Our 2 of 3 soldiers payed the ultamite sacrafice for our freedom, and only one returned home. Due to the rude awakening of two dying the same day, I realized how thankful I am for the troops.

Pete, how could this be off topic. It sounds like you are enjoying life inspite of the pain that we all so graciously and sometimes not so graciously live with. I know how the routine goes with them going out and searching for the possibility of catching that one female that has been waiting for them all her life. At least that what my son seems to be looking for. He is home but not always around. It is good to have them when we can. My son surprised us tonight when he came home with a new tatoo. Not my thing but then they have to live their life just as we lived and are continuing to live ours. I know you will enjoy them when they return home and when they get home tell them thank you from another proud papa.

  Dear Pete,
Good morning! *hugg* I hope you slept in today! How are you pain levels today?? Any improvement or is it slow going? I hope your body is able to catch up a bit before your boys get back home. Your gonna need all the rest you can muster! Your boys are busy finding fun and mischief no doubt! You have done a fantastic job, it shows that you spent your entire life devoted to them. They took the foundation you made for them and grew in to fine young men! You are beaming with pride and love and who could blame you?!?
I had noticed in another thread you mentioned that you had gained weight while on Neurontin? Is that right?.. So, is that an antidepressant and if so is it a SSRI? I ask because recently..well, last month my dosage of amitryptaline was doubled. Which was hard to get used to the level of side effects, but that not the point!... Ive gone from 110 to 128 in a months time. Not that I am complaining, lord knows I needed "Little meat on my bones" as my husband says... Still I am kind of curious to know if it will slow down or stop atall? Or is there types of foods to avoid while on the higher doses of SSRIs?
Okay, I have to stop chatting away. The air conditioner was replaced and there is a coating of dust on EVERYTHING! Argh..

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
