Let's daydreams for a while today. Where would you like to retire and why? So many people like to either move south for the warmth or have a second house...one up north and the other down south. This southern house is their retirement house. Then there are the snowbirds who are always on the move to find good weather.

I prefer my own home for retirement. But when hubby does finally retire the two of us want to travel around the country a few times. We love the national parks and some of the backgroadof America.

Where do you want to retire?

wow, I'd like to retire right now. I hate working! The way my company is going, I'm worried I'll never be able to retire. But ANYWAY, one can dream.

I think I'd like to have a condo in Puerto Rico, right by the beach. Go snorkeling in the warm water, brush up on my Spanish, eat a lot of seafood. And if I'm feeling well, I'd like to spend summers in various places in the U.S., riding my bicycle, maybe traveling around in an RV.

But at work we joke that all we'll get to do in our old age is live in a tin can in some god-awful little town here in the Midwest. And I keep thinking, am I even going to get to live to old age. Oh well!

Hmmm. Great question! I'd love to retire to someplace warm with a beautiful beach! Hawaii maybe. I've never been there.

I don't know thats a interesting question , but I think I'd want to retire oin Africa doing conservation for endangered species , Cheetahs perhaps , and do oil paintings of the animals and landscape .

HIV+ , Need hip replacement , have a cellulitus like condition on leg that is stubborn , using anti-biotics to try to get rid of but its stubborn .Started eating completley healthy juicing every day , no sugar , taking vitiamins and anti-oxidents , virigin coconut oil ,only veggies and fruits mostly , no red meat .feel better.Meds:viracept truvada, indothemicin. Pain from hip and leg use cane or rolator to walk .

I guess I am where I am retired! I never planned on retiring so young but it happened and I'm not going anywhere! I love it where I live now! Oh there are always dreams of winning the lotto and having houses at different places around the country> (the grass is always greener and the fish bite better!) The place we live was "our retirement property" when we bought it about 6 or 7 years ago! I always thought I would work well into my sixties then move up here having plenty of $$$ and no worries but things happen and plans change, Right? I'm waiting on my appeal for social security dissability and my wife still works. There isn't much $$$ to play around with, just enough to pay the bills, feed the horses and pets, grow a garden and go fishing once in a while which is OK by me! I think if and when I ever get SSD we will be OK for the long run, not rich by any means but if we are careful we will be OK!
Yes I like it here right where I am!!!! I think most of you would to, unlessn y'all are "city folks"!!! Come down and visit me if you ever get the chance!!!
Your retired Fla~Boy friend,
Pete

Where do you want to retire?

   Dear Chutz,

I have a kinda odd dream. If I can sell enough jewlery to make a real dent in the girls college tuitions, and after they are done with adult schooling and making their way into the world..... I want to retire to a small , hopefully mountian community and have a small jewlery shopp. I guess my dreams are for "working retirement"..humm. Suppose that defeats the pourpose of retiring all  together.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

I don't work but my hubby does and when he retires we hope to be living in the country by then (we live in the city now). So our dream retirement would have to be living in the country and maybe travel around the USA. I would also like to see Europe but I have a flying phobia so who knows! I will be happy retiring where ever my husband is.
