Hi Brenda,

As hard as it is because yes you are in a very difficult spot all the way around, try to stay as calm as possible. I know that is an awful lot to try and do, but stress causes more pain. When you are all tensed up and in a bundle just adds to the pain. Steroids are fine on a short term basis, so I would not get just real concerned there. He did not give you all that many if I remember right.

Yes, it is comforting to know there is a place to go where other people know how you feel and understands many things you speak of. At least you know you are not alone. Pain can make a person feel very lonely and we all know that so when you feel alone come here and talk, someone is usually around to listen.

We will all be thinking good thoughts and sending you good vibes. Try not to get too scared reading about your condition. Remember knowledge is powerful, nothing wrong with you educating yourself about your condition, it can only help you. Keep us posted.

Hi Brenda,

I'm just checking on you to see how you are today. You were so stressed and worried and I wanted to make sure you have been able to rest and relax a bit.

I hope things are working out OK.

Hello Everyone,

Well i had my MRI yesterday...my doctor had just my lumbar spine area MRI'd...but after the first 4 min scan..of the mid part of my spine...tech stopped the test..and came around to me and said..i know ur doctor only has your lumbar spine to be done..but she wanted to bring the radiologist in for permission to do more scans than what was on my paper...so i dont know what she saw in first set of scans to make her want to scan more...so im thinkin she might of saw something serious to bring radiologist in...but no one told me why they wanted to do this...they scanned my spine for abt an hour in the MRI machine...i was very glad to get out of there...was hard to stay still and in one postion for that long...but i made it..yeaaaa...Started steriods my mouth yesterday...have not seen any change really other than i could eat myself out of house n home...So now the tech told me it would take 7 to 14 days for my report to come back...so i wait...preparing myself for the worst but hoping for the best.....retiredmom..skeye..artbuggey..straydog..and everyone here thank you for listening to me complain for everyone here is all suffering with pain and in far worse shape than i...so thank you from bottom of my heart...for today i feel more calm and together compared to my emotional state in the past....and i believe i owe that to the wonderful people here for just listening and hearing others stories has helped me relief some of my stress and put me in a calmer place..its really nice to talk to people that understand this

thanks guys i owe you first of all ....for my sanity think u saved it...will post to let you all know report of MRI when i get it...you all take care of urselves and i wish u all a painless day...God Bless you all

Hi Brenda,

I am so glad the MRI is done, now waiting on the results. The waiting is always the very worst I think. Lets keep our fingers crossed the report is back in 7 days not the other. Don't let the sites given to you shake you up too bad, its just valuable info that you need so you understand what you are dealing with. I hope after readiong some of the info you understand a little as to why you hurt so bad. You just keep posting when you feel like it. You don't have to wait until you get the results of the MRI back, post anytime. Take it eay with your back and maybe you will get some relief with the meds.

Hi Brenda,

I have found that the longer the results take to get, the less the problem is :) I hope you will be able to relax and find some peace during the wait.

All my best!
