I wwrote a short posting a couple of weeks ago, so this one will be brief.  I am doing much better each and ebery day.  The biggest problem I am having is getting this new congested heart failure under control.  It is normally treated with medication, an ACE inhibitor and a diuretic.  The problem had been this I have not been able to tolerate any of different types of diuretics available.  They all cause nausea and vomiting.  Without them, I have severe water retention, swelling in myy legs, shortness of breath.  Until I can find something that I can literally stomach, I wait until the swelling hets really bad and then take a diuretic along with something for the nausea like Reglan or Zofan.  This is crazy, but I have not found a better option.
I have been readin all of the postings lately and am glad everyone is going OK.  My prayers and thoughts go to those having a difficult time.

Hi Miss Stella....

So glad to read your update. I've prayed for you and that you would feel better - and so glad to hear that you are feeling a little better every day. Shoot, I'm sorry - though - that you still have the swelling and such, and can't take any of the diuretics. I definitely know how miserable the swelling can make a person, just from the swelling of being pregnant, so I can only imagine how you feel and how hard it is on your body. I'll pray that you can find a med that works for you, Stella. But, as I said, I'm glad to hear that - overall - you are feeling better. That is wonderful news. Will keep you in my prayers!

Main Health Problems: Dysautonomia/POTS; CFS/Fibromyalgia; Severe Chronic Hypertension; Hypothyroidism; Hypoadrenalism; Mixed (Obstructive/Central) Sleep Apnea - on Auto BiPap; Depression/Anxiety; Severe Vitamin D Deficiency

Pain Issues: Cervical/Thoracic back pain (they called it DDD...but I don't know); migraines; carpal tunnel syndrome; widespread joint/muscle pain, nerve pain in hands/arms/feet; Future Plans: Intrathecal Pain Pump; already completed trial (Sept, 2008); awaiting my decision for implantation...

It is really good to hear from you in person, and know that there's some improvement. I sure hope that something is found that can help with the water retention.

In the meantime, lots of healing thoughts and hugs are sent your way!

Hi Stella, So glad you stopped by to give us an update. My Mom had congestive heart failure when she was just 23 years old. The doctor treating her never thought you could have that at such a young age and figured she was hyperventilating (SP?) and stuck a paper bag over her head! Heard that story many times growing I hope that you are able to start tolerating the meds better. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Take care.
