If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum.
We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is
involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about
how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.
But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about
the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...
So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about
our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Tuesday= helpful tips day.
What are your helpful tricks and tips to make a painful day a little easier? Quick meal recipe? Time saving ideas? Organization ideas?

Well the techniques I use to make it thru a 10 pain day vary . But mostly visiting my brother if its a weekend if not , I'd be doing video calls with family and friends to start with . Then I may go online to visit my online friends at HW , FB , MySpace , etc . I might then study my vet asst course or do some meditation , then have some lunch and take a refreshing shower ! it'll be later in the day at this time so I'd probably invite my ladyfriend over . I probably try whining a little to see if I could get a massage from her or we'd just cuddle and chill watching T.V. Then we'd decide on what we want to eat , whether we're cooking or ordering in .Then more T.V. until hopefully I could fall asleep without too much hassle , but I'd then be up around 6am to feed the cats . Something like that is how a high pain day might go for me , unless I had appts to go to . Good Question Dani . Mikel

Well, I have a wonderful support system here that includes a loving husband, a sister who truly understands because we suffer together and her children that make me smile! Then, of course, I spend time with my wonderful family here on HW trying to better understand or just to remind myself that I am not alone in this. I have a habit, that I have had since childhood, where I think I can run from anything by sleeping, so if I can....I sleep. We have a black Labrador that weighs about
125 lbs and is just like a big teddy bear! He is also one of the most amazing dogs I have ever seen! I swear he is smarter and understands a lot more then many humans that I know. When something is wrong....he knows it! He is quick to come to bed with me! I lay on my side and he lays in front of me....basically we spoon....and he is like a giant heating pad. He will lay there for hours if I want him to.....and it always helps! Sorry, that wasn't a trick or tip to make it easier really. I don't have a lot of those....except for just planning a quick, easy dinner! So maybe I will get some ideas from others so I don't have to just sleep my pain away! Take care all!
