Just a quick update on Privey!

She is home now, or at least out of the Hospital. She is staying at a home that is all on one level,
in order to help her with mobility. I have as yet to talk to her or her husband, but she did text me,
letting me know that she was released from the Hospital yesterday.

She Thanks everyone who sent Prayers and well wishes her way.
There are several of you that she has contact with, so I thought this would be the best placed to
update.

As for myself, I continue to struggle with my health, and other family maters, but I hope it all works out soon,
as Im wearing down with it all. My wife also continues to struggle with back and female problems as well,
so it is double health problems for us here. Not a good thing at this point in our lives.

I hope you all are doing fine, but I also see that many of you are struggling as well.
Mikel, I do follow you and hope you can find some relief soon as well. Hang in there!
Pete!.....you are the Man! :) Thanks for the videos, as they brighten my day.

I miss so many of you dearly, but I have not recovered enough to spend quality time here
with you all. My stupid head is not yet right yet. The goal is to get back here as quickly as possible, to support. Until then, take care, and I will pop in from time to time.

Hi SE,

I'm glad to see you pop in and to see something at least a little more positive on Privey. I hope you will find relief soon for all of the pain and personal issues. It seems hardest when there are family concerns at the same time as CP because you just can't get away from all of the stress.

Best wishes my friend!

Michael,

Thanks for the update on Cathy.

I'm sorry things are still such a struggle for you and your wife and such. I'm sure there are moments where it's really overwhelming... wish I had some magical words of wisdom - all I can say is that you have lots of people that are pulling for you, and please remember we are all here to support you as you need it. I think there are "seasons of life" - some when you can support others - and some when you need to have others helping to lighten your load.

I continue to hold you in my prayers (your wife, too) and hope this season of life passes quickly for you guys. Keep us updated, as you are up to it. Take good care.

MAJOR surprise - Pregnant, w/ twin little girls (after six boys). Due Sept, 2010. Praying they are healthy. YES, you can have chronic pain AND have a successful pregnancy - not easy, but it can be done. :)

OK! Here is the latest on Privey!

She is still living at her mothers house, but getting better. I good indication that she is getting better is, that she is starting to answer her emails and text.
The pain is still there of course, but she is getting some relief with meds.

The bad news is, that they checked her albumin level and it is way too low. It is my understanding that this natural chemical is required for the purpose of healing
the body. This has to be at a proper level in order to have the Hip replacement.

Also, I just got a phone call from her a few minuets ago, and more bad news for her. Her Vitamin D level is off the chart low.
This too, must be higher in order for the surgery to take place. They are supplementing that with pills and ordered her to sit on the sun, between the hours
of 10:00am and 2:00pm everyday, for the next 3 to 4 months.

She is not happy about this at all, and very frustrated to say the least. While I feel that she is doing better, I am concerned, as I know how she pushes herself,
and tries to live a normal life, free of outside help. She is a very smart woman and a very strong one at that.

My wife and I will never forget the first time we met her and the hubby in person. There she was pealing carrots and potato's, and woman handling a Prime Rib Roast,
all while leaning on a cane and in obvious pain. We offered her our help, but she wouldn't hear of it.

She has become one of my best friend's in life, and the feeling is mutual both ways. Of course, I'm always open to more best friends! :)
Privey say's Hi to those of you that have posted here, and wishes well to each and every one of you.

The road looks long for her, but I have faith that all will come together. I will update when I learn more.
