Greetings,

I am not sure where I belong on this forum, please help!

I found this site by Googling "My throat forgot how to swallow" and "Feels like I am swallowing rocks". I was looking for a quick fix to this problem that has lasted a few years but is becoming a nuisance now... On the lighter side I have lost about 15 lbs in the past couple of months! YaY?!

I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder (I read the rules and will not post my past inflictions), PTSD, Severe Anxiety, Fibromyalgia, RA, herniated discs L4 and L5, deterioration in upper spine, sciatica... well you get the hint.

smurf Oh I love the Smurfs!!!

Am I able to post on multiple topics? I read the rules on not posting in different topics I think, but need some clarification on that... I peeked around but no recollection of repeat names in multiple topic areas... Foggy-brained I reckon... lol

Thanks for any and all advice,

Debi

Hi Debi!

And I'm so glad you not only joined us but that you asked these questions...they are good ones.

Thanks for reading the rules and they're not as oppressive as they seem. The reason for not talking about suicide, etc. it that we have very young and often vulnerable people who read here. The owner wants to be careful that those people get the help they need and not ideas on what others have done.

As far as multiple topics go... I'm not totally clear on the question but I'll give it a go. What I think you are talking about is the rule that asks not to write a new topic and then post it in every forum. That's spamming and isn't helpful at all. It just wastes valuable and expensive space. But as far as where you belong...you are welcome to post in any forum you wish and write a separate one each time. For example, if I were you I'd post in the Fibromyalgia forum, and the RA forum, also the anxiety forum would be a benefit to you. Members who have conditions that include severe pain often post in the Chronic Pain forum as well. It may not seem appropriate but I've posted in the Prostate Cancer forum before but that was because my father passes away from that disorder. I had a couple of questions to ask and they were great talking to me. I also check out the diabetes forum now and then.

I hope some of this makes sense. It's easy once you see how others are using Healing Well. Please ask any questions you like...

I post on multiple forums-but not the same post on multiple forums.
So, if I want to comment on my swollen knees or my arthritis medications I post on the RA forum.
When I wanted people's opinions on Tramadol I came here to the chronic pain forum where they would be more likely to have answers for me.

Inability to swallow could be something like nutcracker esophagus.  You might post on the GERD forum.  This sounds like you might want to consult a gastroenterologist.
