I don't read the comics in the newspaper, but I do love Gary Larson's "the Farside" comics. This past year, when I was giving frequent research presentations, I always tried to end my presentation with a questions slide showing a funny (and pertinent) Gary Larson cartoon. Believe it or not, he has done a fair amount of snake/lizard cartoons. smilewinkgrin

We also had the walls of my research lab plastered with reptile cartoons, many of which were Gary Larson cartoons.

I love the far side.
I also have a cartoon which I stole from my rhuemys office (they had multiple copies thumbtacked to the wall in the lab).

It says "We are running behind, I would like you all to ask yourself, "Am I really that sick, or would I just be wasting the doctor's valuable time."

For some reason I get a total kick out of that. Maybe because this doctor returns all phone calls the same day, herself. I think if that cartoon were on the wall in an office where the docs did not return calls and did not listen to patients I might find it really offensive.

My absolute favorite comic ( but is no longer in print) is Calvin and Hobb's I have many of there books, with just about all the comic strips in them that were ever published. I quit taking the paper about a year or so ago so I have not read the comics in a long time. But I always like For better or for worse? I believe that was the name of it.

Whitebeard you can always view the newspaper on-line
I usually read the comics on line, I type in the newspaper name
then click on entertainment then click on comics and you can usually
view all but the Sunday comics, try that...almost anything is possible on-line...
