Good Morning Chronic Pain Friends!

Well it is another beautiful monday morning! Though I would love nothing more than to rubb my magic oil lamp and wish myself away to some exotic land...... it is Monday. There are tasks to complete, jobs to do and appointments that need to be kept.

Often times we are so busy supporting others that we often forget to update about ourselves. So, before we get too wrapped up in starting out the week... please, stop by and let us know how you are doing. Even if you are in alot of pain or not in much pain, give us an update. We want to know how you are doing.

What are your major planns for the week?
How are you feeling & what has your pain scale been like over the weekend?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Work! Work! Work!...thats all I seem to do these days. I am working on my 7th week now in a row, with no time off, except for a funeral. As soon as I get home, I hit the sack and stay there until I'm needed to help with supper.

My pain level is not too bad, and comes and goes as it pleases, but for the most part I feel that I'm on a good road to recovery.

Plans for the week? We are in the middle of refiancing the house, so there is paperwork to do.

My pain level is still very high this week. I'm still waiting for a response to a message I sent my PM doc on Friday. I would like to get in to see him sooner than my current September appointment. My work is suffering terribly, and I worry about losing my job because of this. It has also been hard to take care of my little girl (3 years old).

My pain is high and has been consistently through the past few weeks. I am trying a new medication, Savella, which is causing severe dizziness, vomiting, and some mighty mood swings. My CRNP is asking that I wait it out for the first month to see if it helps my pain level any.

Still recovering from the past weekend and gearing up for next weekend. We have a wedding for my fiance's cousin, taking my two boys to church camp and a picnic for the church right after the run to camp. Washing up for them and packing all the things they need is proving to be a trying time. I believe it is time for a 12-year-old and 11-year-old to being learning to pack for themselves. It may be a learning experience while they still have Mom and Dad to help!

I hope everyone's pain levels are low, and the coming week brings only good things!

Hi All,

My pain is just creeping back in big time. This weekend I sleep saturday away woke up to go potty, eat a little than back to sleep. Sunday half the day until I forced myself to get up. Feels like something else is coming into play, not sure what getting some bloodwork done to see if anything shows up.

Hope each and every one a "less pain" week, I would say pain free as I do wish it, but I know that probably is not the case for most. shakehead

Well, I was away last week. Flying was terrible--issues with the flight...etc., so this week, I'm not doing anything. I'll go to physical therapy and rest. Pain has been high, but I expected to be in a flare this week.

Hugs,

Flower

Just a quick check-in; it's late and I'm exhausted....

I'm almost to 30 weeks w/ the babies... now going to the hospital 2x per week; trying to make it another 2 to 4 weeks. Each day is very long to get through....

My pain is still high... but I'm more worried about my pain control after my c-section. How I'm going to be able to cope w/ the pain of surgery; chronic pain; AND - given that the girls will probably be hospitalized for a little bit - going back/forth between the hospital and home. It feels very overwhelming right now... but, I try to remember I've made it this far and all I've gone through to get here...

Other than that, just trying to take each day as it comes.... and just get through another week! --Tina

MAJOR surprise - Pregnant, w/ twin little girls (after six boys). Due Sept, 2010. Praying they are healthy. YES, you can have chronic pain AND have a successful pregnancy - not easy, but it can be done. :)

Dear Momto6boys,
God love you....having twins! How old are your other children? I have twin daughters and they are 28yrs. old now. The pregnancy is tough, for sure. Nothing like carrying a single child. When I was pregnant with my girls we thought that it would be funny to measure my waistling. It was Dec. 1st and my waist measured 42 inches. We had such a laugh. Then reality set in and I realized that my due date wasn't until March 28th so that was the last time I measured anything!
Love and prayers to you as I know how hard this is and I only had a 3yr. old at home. Good luck to you and your family. I will try to watch your post's to see how things are going.

Nurse2,

Thanks for your post :) It gives me so much encouragement that I really need right now! My sons are 15, 14, 12, 11, 9 and 6... our family was complete and w/ all my health issues - we were told I would no longer be able to get pregnant, etc. But these little girls are determined to make it here... and have defied the odds so far!

You are so right - this is nothing like carrying one baby...! I had to laugh at your "measurement" story :) I don't even want to KNOW what my around the waist measurement is! I'm only 5'2 and I swear I think I'm as big around as I am tall (I know, a lovely image) LOL

Thanks again for the encouragement.... so many people here have offered me such great love and support - and really have made a difference in my life. There was a time that we thought we were going to lose one or both of the babies... and some amazing people here got me through on some pretty dark days. So, I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers... and, yes, will update frequently :)
