Chronic Pain Chat Night
August 12th, 2010

If you are new and/or not sure how to get to the chat rooms here are the directions....

To get to the chat room you just click on the words/button CHAT or CHAT ROOMS. Both will take you to the same place. Where are those words/buttons? Above the Topics list where all of the discussions are listed is a button that says "NEW TOPIC". Going up some more are a line of words that read

Forum Rules | Help Manual | Chat Rooms | Moderators | Volunteer

You can just click on the word Chat Rooms and there you are! Or you can go up one more line and come to a thin blue bar. On that bar, is:

Log Off | Control Panel | Home | Calendar | Chat | Search | Members | Help
Just click on the word CHAT and it also takes you to the chat room menu.

Once the pop-up Chat window opens go through the steps. From the drop down menu choose the Chronic Pain chat room. Once chosen you then do step #2 and log in. Then you will see the chat screen in that window. You just start typing in the small window at the bottom of the viewing area (where everyone's words show up) Below where you type is an option you can click on to view the Chat rules and help.

If you can't get the chat window to open make sure you allow a pop-up for this particular site. If you have it blocked you will not be able to do chats. On Firefox/Mozilla browser it will tell me at the top of the screen that it's blocked and allow me to let this one place open a pop-up.

Start time is 6 PM Pacific Time and 9 PM Eastern time N. America. Come and go as you like. It’s informal and we operate like an open house evening.

Thanks for the quick reply, Pebbles. But no, I don't see a 'New Topic' option.

Where should it be on the menus?

I see neither 'Post Reply' nor 'Printable'.

I'm afraid I have been assigned a lower user access, and so don't see the needed buttons. I also don't see a button to connect to admin here, to ask for system help.

And again, thank you a million for working on my problem. It is appreciated.

Hi Tony,

My screen has recently changed, but my tabs are now three blue tabs with Post New Topic, Post Relpy and Print Thread.

The Post New Topic may be hidden off screen if your screen is too large. If this is the case, then go in and change the font size a little smaller to make the button where you can see it. Also, if this is the case, you may see a way to slide the screen over some so the button can be seen.

Good luck!
