Hey Gang,
Remember Old Pete? I just wanted to stop by and let Y'all know I'm thinking and still praying for everyone on my H.W. list! Well I'm still bearly hanging in there! This move I've been making for the last 6 weeks has been realy getting the best of me. I have now made 8 - 500+ mile round trips back and forth to my house down south and am leaving for another today w/ my trusty old Dodge pick up and my wife's horse trailer. My painter friends from the company I used to work for are doing a super job and gave me a great price! They evan had a lot of paint left over from other jobs they gave me!!! They have been sneaking in there between "real jobs" and hopefully will be done next weekend!!
My neck and back have taken the worst from this move w/ my hip and knees not far behind. I feel like a crippled pink bunny rabbit thats bearly hobbling along, like someone smashed him w/ a hammer! The pain levels are crazy but I must keep on keepin on  like Suzane likes to say!! When I get to feeling sorry for myself, I think of Y'all and everyone here who struggles day to day just to survive and I get motivated again to get up and get going!! Dani w/ her young familly who suffers like nobody's biz but gets it done every day and still makes time for Y'all here! My friend miss Linda who is going through her chemo w/ such dignity and grace it brings tears to my eyes! There are so many others> Mikey, Father John, Chartiuces (sorry w/ that spelling!), Screaming Eagle, Tina, Suzane and when I get on the road today, 20 more names will chime in my brain I should have written down!! So sorry for everyone I missed!
Well, I must git! Time waits for no C.P'er and my renter is moving in on the 26th! So much more to do> carpets, furniture (big stuff still there!) the garrage is a disaster, rthe attic> Yikes! I'll be back just like "The Govinator!"
Love Yall and wish I had some Big huge hugs!!! I could really use some!!!
Your Friend always!!!
Pittyfull Pete!
When I was young & stupid I broke almost every bone in my body and I'm paying a heavy price now but I'm still here and so glad to see my two sons grow up to be fine young men, both are in the Navy. I'm so proud! My biggest health problem>> I'm a certified Luny~Tune!!

Oh Pete, you poor dear man! I have been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing! I so wish there was some way we could help you! Moving is so terrible and being in a vehicle is so terrible when you have CP....I just can't imagine what you are going through! I guess what doesn't kill us makes us we could be looking at "Super Pete" soon! I guess all I can do is send you big hugs and prayers for the strength to get you through this! Hang in there and know that you are loved and missed!

Take care of you!

Hi Petey
I have been thinking about you and wondering how you have been. First, I am sending you many huge hugs. I hope you can feel them.
Gosh you have so much on your plate with this move. I can't imagine having to do all that driving or even being in the vehicle for that long. Even one hour just kills me. I sure hope when this is all done that you will be able to rest your weary body, something you so desperately need. And then maybe some fishing which I know you just love to do. Which reminds me I have to get hubby to pick up those fish batters for you and get them in the mail!!
Well I hope the 26th gets here quick for you so that you know this moving and driving will be all done!!
Hang in there my friend, I know it's tough but I know you can do it!!
Love ya buddy
One day at a time!!

Hi there Pete. I don't post on here too often but have been reading about all your adventures, fun and otherwise, with amazement. Your drive to get things done is inspiring. It is so good to hear that you are "doing life" despite all the chronic pain that you have. I just hope that you aren't making anything permanently worse by all the hard work. I also hope you do get a day of rest sometime soon so you can get out on your boat and get that healing that only a nice fish on your line can bring. Please take care. Lisa

   Dear Pete,

Good morning! *warm hugg* We wish we could help you!! So much heavy lifting and moving, in that kind of weather?? That has to be just terrible  shakehead   How many more trips will you have to make before it is cleared out? I hope not too many more. I am afraid you will end up sleeping for a month once it is all done!

Okay, so that is pretty awesome you were able to get such a good deal on all the painting. I kept thinking of how horrible it would be for you to have to go through all that work cleaning the place out, just to have to turn around and paint once it was all done! husband and I keep wondering about a few things? I dont mean to bring up a sore subject.... Where the heck is Jack through all this work? Did he just up and move and you havnt heard from him since? I would think after two years of living rent free he could atleast help a little???? It is a good thing I dont know that man........ mad

I have to tell you this, it is so cute! So, I took the girls down to meet their new teachers. Little rosie goes in for her inital testing, and we are worried to no end! We can see her thought the little windows, yet she isnt writing on her test? When it got to be 30min we were sure something was wrong! Once they come out we find out that little rosie had finished her test early? That entire time she told her new teacher all about her Uncle Pete and how she is going to be a horsey doctor just like Miss Lisa. Oh my heart was so proud! ..Oh and she did really good with her testing!   :-)

We sure do you can get all the moving done soon. You have got to be worn out to your very core by now! Know you are in our hearts and prayers here!

Lots of Love

p.s. any word from the new PM?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Hello Petey! We all have been thinking about you, and wondering how the move is going!

Thanks for the colorful update, and you are the only person that is in pain, and it brings a smile to my face. Oh!...not because you're in pain, but just the way you express yourself :)

Please take care of the Wabbit! :) We have enough Road/Kill around as it is! :)

Let's hope you will soon be done with the move, and give the Wabbit a rest! :)

That has to be so difficult on you and your body. I'm sure you will be so relieved when it is all over. Oh sorry, I'm not sure we've met..Heather-mama6 here. Been around probably since you've been gone. Hang in there and take it easy when possible. Hopefully with as many trips as you have made there is some sort of light at the end of the tunnel. take care.

I too have been thinking of you... I was going to e-mail you - but I know how busy you are and just assumed you were doing stuff on your house and so forth! But you can tell you have been missed :) Ugghhh, your pain - though - sounds like it's really high. I hate to hear that. Of course, you know you are doing too much... but it's a catch-22 when there are things that have to get done. Hang in their until the 26th and plan on taking a good rest after that, if you can. You deserve it!

Of course, big hugs are coming your way :) :) Keep us updated on things when you can...because we miss you :)

Oh, like Dani said, did you see that new PM yet?? Hopefully this will be a good one :)

Hugs, Tina

I hope that the moving goes quickly! You must have tremendous willpower and be very strong to keep on going with the pain you are having. I am new here, but finding everyone quite supportive and motivating.
With all the work that must be done, I am sure you are hurting. Try to take time for yourself when you are all finished and recover as much as you can. I know personally that isn't always possible, but one thing I have found here, is that all of the many women and men on this site are always there, ready to reach out to us all, no matter the circumstances.

Oh thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind words! Y'all give me strength!!! I can feel those hugs when I'm about to say ^%$()*&!!! and just give up!
I got back last night w/ a horse trailer full of furniture! I paid a scumbag guy living down the street from my house to help me load the furniture and my 1978 old Ducati motor cycle into my wifes horse trailer!
She is at the Dr. (finally!!!) this a.m. and as soon as she gets back we are leaving w/ my pick up & the trailer again for another trip. I'm hoping after this trip, maybe one more early next week and I'll finally be finnished!!! Oh I can't wait!!! I think my body is going to be like the "Bluesmobile" after the Blue Brothers finally get to the City hall when it just completely falls apart!!! I really bit off more than I could chew this time!!!
So sorry to still be whining about the same old thing! Soon I'll stop!
Thanks again to everyone who wrtote including our newbee's!!!
Love Ya!!!
PS> Dani, Jack took off and left all his stuff at my house> everything including dirty dishes in the sink!! Yes, after all I did for him. I guess he justifies his actions by leaving his tools and a flat screen TV and several other things of worth. I don't care about any of that, I have a lot more to move and get rid of now because of him! He never lifted a finger to help me in any way there, just took advantage of me, oh well> He's gonna have to talk to the Big Guy about his actions some day, not me!!! Karma is getting him as we speak!!

Dear Pete!

I am so glad to hear that this is almost done! What a mess to have to deal with!! Please know that we are thinking about you and sending lots of hugs!! Don't ever complain about whining... that is what we are here for!!! You always are there to listen to the rest of us whine all the time!! And even during this rough time you still made me smile!! I love your analogies of the Bluesmobile and the little pink bunny that had been smashed with a hammer! Hang in there, Pete!

Take care of you!

Hi Pete,

Sorry I'm a bit late in chiming in, but I'm on vacation at the moment & my computer access is limited. It's great to hear from you, although not to hear that you are having a rough time. It sounds like there is no easy way to move all of your stuff from the old house to the new house & unless you want to pay a bunch of workers (which is no doubt ridiculously expensive), there isn't much that you can do to avoid all that hard work. Just remember to listen to your body & take breaks when you need to. You know I always worry about you overdoing it, because you just like to tough it out no matter what. smilewinkgrin I'm not saying that that is a bad quality, but you've got to be careful sometimes, or you can do more harm than good! Well, I'll stop now, before I sound too much like your mother. smilewinkgrin I'm just glad to hear that you are okay. Hang in there, my friend. Hopefully this will all be over soon & then you can go back to your fishing, gardening, horses, and relaxing life in the country!

many hugs,
