It started out ok, for once in the last week I woke up on time for work. I haven't had my narcolepsy meds for almost a month. My internal med dr. won't prescribe them because he wants me to come in to see him. That is fine but they won't schedule an appointment because I still owe money. Around $200. I want to pay but during the summer when I work for the school my pay drops $4.00 an hour and my hubby was part of layoffs. I just started back to school at reg. pay. Anyways, so I get up but nod off and feel so exhausted i guess I just end up talking myself into going back to sleep. 4:30a.m. is such a horrid time anyways, it should be illegal to have to get up then. Well my super. still hasn't given my staff more hours or replaced my cook that retired over the summer..she feels we can do it..but our inrollment is up 150 students and they have to be fed. So I have to run the register with one of my other staff members, and i have to have her cook in between. Well on the 3rd service line we ran out of food. Except chef salads. No fruit, chinese food was gone, and the toasted ham and cheese. I had to watch both lines and then send my cook back to cook. Right then when trying to
open fruit both can
openers stopped working, I had to have one of my servers watch the lines and run to go call in the repair, back to the line to try to hurry and dish up to help my servers get caught up. Another delivery came then.. i made him wait and he got mad and mouthy, run back to put it up then what do you know we run out again. So I fly to the back to help my cook get everything prepped and in the ovens, I am behind on paperwork, orders, end of the week stuff and i have to leave for 3 hours tomm. to go to Dr. app. I usually am done by 3:00, but tommorrow of course on a friday when I just want out of there, it will take til 5:00 at least. I didn't take any pain meds til 2:00 because I was going to just hold off so the Dr. tomm can see me how I usually am but I caved.. I couldn't take it, my back was throbbing, and my hands were in so much pain, and the worst headache. I can't wait til Saturday, but hate to wish my life away. Ok thanks for the vent. Heather

I am sorry you had a bad day today. When it rains it pours huh? I hope things go well for you tomorrow, and that you have a better day.

Hi Heather, it seems silly to me to not take your pain meds, are you worried he won't believe you if he can't see for himself? I hate doctors like that, well you're ok now so that means you're ok all the time!
Sounds like you had such a bad day, it never rains but pours kind of day. I really hope you get some rest this weekend, please look after yourself.
