Often the weekend is a time to get chores done that can't be accomplished during the week. Things like deep cleaning, going shopping or cooking for the rest of the week. Some of these chores aren't bad but others are just miserable to do. Of the things on your "chore list", what is the one you dislike the most?

I think mine would have to be cleaning windows. It's not just hard on my body but I can never get them perfectly streak free and as clean as I'd like them. Then someone comes through the glass doors and streaks them up by knocking. The outside ones aren't as bad since I use a squeege on them. But the inside ones are must miserable to do.

Anyone else? What chore is your least favorite?

Well the chore that I hate doing the most is scrubbing the bathroom, sink, toilet, and tub and tub surround, and the bathroom and kitchen floor! It just about kills me! and I hurt for days afterwards, usually I do this on Saturdays, but I had to do the whole house on Thursday afternoon, and all day friday! and now it is late friday night, actually early Saturday morning, and I am paying the piper for all my hard work! But I had to do it, my realtor said he would be showing the house sometime between 9 and 11 this morning!  No I haven't sold it yet, keep your fingers crossed maybe this will be the one!

Mopping and running the sweeper because it just kills my back. I also dislike cleaning the blinds too.

I'm with White Beard on this one! If it wasn't for me it wouldn't get done either.

   Dear Chutz,

My #1 would have to be the garage. In fact, I have avoided is all spiring / summer and it shows. I know I need to get it done, I know it is just piling up high and higer with gown out clothing, old furniture, out dated paper work, boxes.. It is just so hard to do. I am going to try to begin tackling it next week. Ugh.

I hate the dishes too! It is hard to stand there endlessly.

I feel guilty saying this because it's really the only chore I do, but I really don't like sweeping. That's a motion that really hurts me, but I do so little around here, I refuse to say anything.

My hubby takes care of most of the cleaning and cooking (in addition to a full time job welding), and he has always done the laundry from the first time I met him. He is also a welder fulltime (and up until recently, was a fulltime student doing a Bachelor of Theology). He just prefers things to be done a certain way, so he volunteered to do it all so we're both happy. He is so much better at the domestic stuff than I am.

Wow Bunky! I'm impressed with that groom of yours. What a find you have. I'm thinking you might want to consider keeping a tight hold on that one!...lol

I guess we've got a large majority on the floor cleaning deal and I must agree. With a new, LARGE puppy who is indoors unless we're outside with her, well let's just say my wood floors where she's allowed are mighty sad looking. I was thinking of refinishing them this summer but I postponed it until at least next year. To this Golden Retriever puppy everything looks like a chew toy...even the walls! BUT she certainly doesn't care for the taste of Tabasco brushed on those spots.

ps.WB, I sure hope the house sells this time. It's such a lovely home and you keep it impeccable!

White Beard - Fingers crossed for your house... your house IS beautiful and I hope you find a buyer!

Re: Least Favorite Chores - I don't mind doing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, that type of thing - but hate putting away the clean dishes from dishwasher. Same thing - I actually enjoy laundry (I know, I'm weird) - the sorting, washing, folding, etc. - but I don't like putting it all away. I average about 4 loads a day, minimum.

I actually enjoy most household chores and cleaning and such.... but, as you were all saying, many things now cause too much pain/flare up of symptoms.
Main Health Issues: Dysautonomia/POTS; CFS/Fibro; Chronic Pain (back issues, migraines, carpal tunnel, among other things); Chronic Hypertension; Hypothyroidism and Hypoadrenalism; Mixed Sleep Apnea (on BiPap); Depression/Anxiety; Vitamin D Deficiency.

MAJOR surprise - Pregnant, w/ twin little girls (after six boys). Due Sept, 2010. Praying they are healthy. YES, you can have chronic pain AND have a successful pregnancy - not easy, but it can be done. :)

Your exactly right! Usually I try and get by with doing the floors like that  ( on hands and knees) once every two weeks or so, the rest of the house, dusting and vacuuming and that. I do once a week. But remember it is just me, so the house really doesn't get that dirty! Anyway A big  bucket of  hot water with spic & span or  Pine sol in it  and then it is scrub time. I fold up a small area rug to put under my knees  and about a half hour before starting I take a break through pain pill and then I keep going till it is all done! And I hurt all over!
