I think we did a topic similar to this a long time ago but it's an oldie but goodie so let's give it another go-around. Choose 3 words you would use to describe describe yourself....and then (this is the different part) explain why you chose them.

OK, I'll give this a try. I'm pretty uneasy describing myself. Here are my three words...

1) Caring
2) Tentative
3) Perfectionist

Caring because that's what my life has always been centered around...caring about and for others. It's how I'm wired and how my generation of women were raised.

Tentative since each day my life seems unsettled and for me that's very difficult. I don't like change or surprises and with this pain stuff every day is full of both of those.

And a perfectionist is probably my worst asset. No matter how hard I try it's so hard to back off on this and let it go. I know it's silly and it can interfere with life but I'm working on it.

OK, there are my three words and they are totally different than the last time we did this list. What are YOUR 3 words to describe you right now?

1.) Honest
2.) Loyal
3.) Moody

Honesty is one of two qualities that are very important to me. My Mother was a very honest person and set an incredible example to all who knew her. I learned through her at a young age that if I was going to do something I would have to be dishonest about, I didn’t need to be doing it!

Loyalty goes hand in hand with honesty to me. I have built my family around honesty and loyalty. In doing so, I’ve had to actually disengage many relationships in my family of origin and some friendships. I’ve found that though it was difficult to cut myself off from people I’ve known all my life, without loyalty a relationship of any kind just won’t work.

Moody is not something I’m proud of. It is a confusing state of being for me and for those around me. I attribute it to being Bipolar and that is a miserable state to begin with. Though medicated, I am on occasion elated with everything! I spend time with my art which makes me very happy thereby making the euphoria all the more jubilant. It’s exhausting and causes my pain to be overwhelming. Worse than that is the depression which I experience more often than the euphoria. It takes over most of my life while depressed. I don’t like being in that state as I often become irritable with those I love most. And this is why I love my “self-made” family; they love me even though, not because they feel they have too.

Three words that describe me...

P - Passionate. When I believe in something or when I'm taking part in something or doing something a little "off the wall", I'm passionate about it. I throw my whole heart and soul into what I'm doing and I often feel like I'm in my own little world.

A - Articulate. I love chatting with other people, and asking questions to learn more about life around me.

M - Musically inclined. I love music with a passion (ohhhhh....see how that brought No. 1 into things!) and I've often said, I don't hear it...I feel it. I love everything from Acappella to Zydeco.

hugs,
Pam
