So is anyone else here a hockey nut like myself?? Who watches their hockey team on TV? What team do you follow??

I just LOVE hockey!!! My boys grew up playing hockey so I was always at the arena!!! I didn't miss too many games, or rather tried not to miss any. One son is a goalie and he plays on many teams and the other son is a center and he will play with the juvenile team again this year. Hubby plays twice a week also.

Many of you know that I live in Ottawa, Canada, so we have our own team here, the Ottawa Senators. The games will be starting up soon on TV and hubby and I love to watch all their games.

So who is going to join me?? Tell me who your team is!!!!!

Hi Suzane,

Sorry, I don't know much about hockey, but I sure hope that watching the games with your hubby helps take away some of your pain, at least for a few moments. Enjoy the new season!

hugs,
Skeye

Hi Suzane:

My husband and I are huge NY Islander fans. We used to go to games several times a year, but it just got too painful, so we watch it on TV too.

Here's to a good season for both of our teams, and hopefully a few hours of distraction from our pain!

HELLO!...did someone say H O C K E Y!??? Oh Suzane, I knew you would be our head hockey Aficionado!

Hockey played a huge part of me meeting and marrying my sweetie. Long story so I won't bore you. He was born just outside of Pittsburgh so of course we are Penguin fans. He has vanity plates on our rigs that have some version of "PENGWN" on them. My truck is #1. But because we live in Washington state we also cheer on the Canucks! Love the Sedin...they are amazing to watch especially when their fellow countryman Samualson is on the ice with either one of them. I get a bit irked when folks in the media give Roberto Luongo a bad rap. For heaven sakes...he took them to a Gold medal in the Olympics! Also follow the Rockies and a couple of other Canadian teems.

OK, what was the question? lmbo.. Each day Hubby tells me the countdown til the first game. I think he's down to hours by now. On the 21st there are 9 games slated and I'm sure we'll be turning on the TV for at least 2 of them...lol

Hope you'll be watching too, Suzane!

I cheer for the Calgary Flames, my hubby is a diehard Montreal fan, and while we don't get to go out to many games, we sure enjoy it when we do.

My brother in law is a scout for the New York Rangers. He's worked with Glen Sather for many many years, with different teams as well. All three of his kids (son and two daughters) play hockey competitively, so it will be interesting to see if I'll ever have a relative on an Olympic team.

Mikel, I'll send an email to my brother in law, and ask him to have a chat with the boys, to get them fired up for the season. I'll make sure he tells them that Mikel is counting on them this year to do well.

hugs,
Pam

I LOVE hockey! One of the few sports that I can mostly enjoy in spite of my pain. Rink is kept at a perfect temp -- cool but not miserably cold like Chicago football.

Though I must admit I was not too much of a fan of that evil parade. Hours on the train trying to get downtown -- no where to sit & no one nice enough to give up their seat for someone wearing a back brace. Next time I'm taking the day off work & watching the parade on tv. And yes, there WILL be a next time. ;)

I'm a Red Wings fan!  Although not as diehard as I once was, I live in the south now, and still catch games here and there when I can.  Hockey is about the only sport I've ever been interested in watching.  Love it!

I like the Detroit Red Wings as Houston does not have a Pro team...
The Houston Aeros are okay, but sure wish they'd go Pro...
