Hello, I haven't posted here before, so hopefully I am posting in the right spot!

about 2 months ago, my eyes started hurting, and it became difficult to focus on things, so I saw my doctor. At this time, I had some minor cold symptoms, so the doctor thought it was a sinus infection, and referred me to an eye specialist, which found nothing wrong with my eyes.

about 2 weeks after that, I started getting new symptoms. I started feeling pressure above below, and behind my eyes, starting around the bridge of my nose, and extending up through most of my forehead, especially on the right side. Since then, I have also experienced more blurry vision, what feels like a constant lump in the back of my throat, nausea on a daily basis, a constant ringing, especially in my right ear, dizziness/vertigo, and constant intense headaches and pressure. Occasionally i will feel this pain and chills in the back of my head where my head meets my neck as well. Most of these symptoms I can deal with, but the constant pressure and horrible headaches are especially unbearable at times. The nausea and dizziness seem to get worse when I am more active.

A few weeks ago, I had a CT scan done of my sinuses with the assumption that it was sinus related. They found 3 abcessed(sp) teeth that they thought might be causing the problem. The next day, I had the teeth removed, and I have not experienced any relief yet.

I have tried Z-pack antibiotics, steroids and pain killers, and I have had little to no relief from those. I recently had an audio test for the ringing in my ears, and they didn't find anything but a slight hearing loss that seems to be explained by the ringing. I then went to an Ear Nose and Throat doctor, who didn't find anything on my CT scan, other than a slight mucosal thickening under my left eye, which he says doesn't account for the constant pain and pressure in my head. He told me it might be nerve related, and has since then referred me to a neurologist, who i will be seeing this next week.

The really strange thing about all of this is that I can sleep ok, and that the symptoms seem to be not nearly as bad in the morning when I first wake up. The pressure is always there, it just seems to get worse throughout the day, and be at its worst in the evening. It has been suggested that perhaps these symptoms are all stress and anxiety related, but I don't feel stressed out or overly anxious. I did experience anxiety in the beginning, of course, but I have come to terms with this problem, and have been taking anti-anxiety medication since then that has been helping quite a bit.

If these were migraine or tension headaches, which I have experienced before, then wouldn't they come and go? If it's only a headache issue, why do i have the lump in my throat and other symptoms? The pressure in my head is a constant. It never goes away, it just gets worse or better.

If anyone has had anything similar to what I am experiencing, PLEASE let me know! I have read a lot of posts that are similar, but I haven't seen anything quite like this. I am going to my doctor today and demanding an MRI and CT scan to figure out what is going on. The pressure and headaches are getting worse, and I am worried that it might be a tumor at this point.

Please help! Any advice is well accepted!

Hi Berain and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I am glad that you found us but so sorry that you have to be here.

Wow, after reading what is going on with you I am glad to see that you are going to be seen by a neurologist for these problems. I have no clue what could be going on, my first thought was a sinus problem because some of it does sound like a sinus situation. But then you had the teeth to add to the mix. I just really do not know what to think, but then I am not a dr and no one else here at the forum is a dr either.

I do hope that this dr will be able to get this all figured out for you and be able to help you. So, please do let us know how this appt goes. I wanted to pop on and tell you hello and welcome aboard. Take care.

Thank you for your responding. I do realize that there are no doctors here and that medical advice will not be given. I will just appreciate anyone else responding that has this or a similar problem, and hearing what they have done to give me ideas.

Thanks again!

I agree with Straydog Susie, this should be looked into by a neurologists, and hope
you'll seek out help in that area...make a journal of what is happening and take it
with you to the appointment, many of us here have done that before, making
journals...and you might be able to see if certain foods are triggering
your problems or if your anxiety medicine is creating this as a side effect...
Many well wishes to you and do keep us posted as we do care....

Hello, I have read your post and never replied to anyone before but felt compelled to reply to yours. I wanted to let you know that I have the same exact problem as you do. I have pressure in the left eye socket as well as my forehead that starts in the middle of my forehead and goes only on the left side of face. I have noticed that it gets worse when I try to concentrate on tasks like writing and paying attention to people. It also seems worse when exposed to sunlight. I have a hard time focusing and have recently lost eye vision close up when reading books. I was completely healthy before this. I am a 40 year old female. I have been put on Lyrica recently and it seems to make my vision worse. I have had an MRI with dye and have seen a Neurologist who has given me a clean ticket of health. I am going to get an eye exam this week. This started in March of this year. It never goes away and is best in the morning. I will let you know what the eye doctor says and would appreciate any news you get on your side. I hope this helps that you're not alone out there. I know that odd things can be very isolating.

Hi lauriehendry, welcome to the forum, I'm glad you found us, but sorry for what brought you here. I'm sorry to say that you've posted at the end of an old thread, the original author of which, is no longer at the forum that I know of. We usually ask new members to post their own thread, with a bit of an introduction, that way every one can "meet" you, and also, you might find some better response to any questions you might have, as well as more all round support. I know it's a little nerve racking writing your first few posts, but I think you'll be glad you did. Welcome, and I hope you find some help and support here as I have.

Hi Mat,

I am a 40 year old female who was healthy one day in the Nursing Program and first started commenting about the inside of my left knee. It never went away and grew in back pain followed by two very large fevers and progressed in nerve pain in hands and feet. I also had nausea for nearly 3 months as well as running low grade fevers. I have an MRI of my back both Cervical and Thoracic which showed nothing wrong excluding a malchari malformation at the base of my brain. I had a MRI with dye that showed with spots but nothing typical to MS. I have had many infectious disease tests performed and the only positive that comes up is Lyme disease and Mono at some point in my life. I have two bands that test positive for Lyme disease but say they only treat it if you have 5 bands positive. In the meantime I live with constant back pain and pain in my hands and feet as well as half of my face only on the left side and now have lost vision up close in the last two to three weeks. I've seen a Neurologists and she closed my case without even looking at my brain mri. I have now been told I have fibromyalgia which I am not so convinced. I hurt my back in the exact same spot about 4 years ago and I got steroid injections right away and within 3 months I was completely cured. Nobody here will even give me a steroid shot. I really don't know why. I have had back pain consistantly for 10 months now. I am try acupunture now but it is new. I will let you know how it goes.

I am experiencing the same problem, for some time. I have constant pressure on my forehead and behind my eyes. I have felt like throwing up and my nausea seems to get worse. When I move around the pressure and the headaches are ongoing. Do you know what this is.
