Pain for 9 months, Car Accident

hi i'm 20 years old and about 9 months ago i got into a bad dui car accident where i dont remember anything prior to the accident and very little after like waking up in a hospital. i went head on into a telephone pole and my car was totaled. the next morning it felt like my body was broken into pieces. i walked out with no broken bones or anything but noticed i had some pain in my upper left back a muscle that seems to be called the rhomboid major. it hurts from time to time and a constant massage seems to make it feel good but for the most part its a pain if im sitting in a particular way and sometimes when i sleep in a certain way it hurts alot. i feel like i'm also always tired and can't seem to do anything. i havent seen a doctor yet but now im seriously considering it because i thought itd eventually go away but it hasn't. i cant deal with it anymore im so uncomfortable has anyone ever had chronic pain here before? i cant live with it anymore im so young and my energy has been sapped

…just a quick note,…yes!…you need to get in and have a Dr check you out. We have several members here suffering from chronic back pain…I being one of them, and is not a fun life to live that way. Sorry, I don't have much to add here in the way of advice, but since you have not been to a Dr yet, there is little to go on.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but surprised you haven't been to a doctor on account of the pains you describe. For starters , you need to be checked out by a good orthopedic dr, and perhaps even a neurologist if there is no ortho evidence of damage.

Hope you can find some answers, because you could be on a path to long term chronic pain, and you need to get a handle on it before things get worse.
