Hey gang. Just thought I would pop in here to let everyone know that I am still recovering from surgery. It has now been 3 weeks since I had the fem-pop bypass and so far it seems to have been successful. My leg still hurts where they cut into it a bit and I am still on light duty and having to sleep in the recliner but each day the pain goes away a little bit more.

It will still be another week or two before I am able to get back into the the swing of things.

Hope everyone has a happy 4th of July.

Jim,

Glad to hear that your recovery seems to be going well.... and that it was a successful surgery.

Try to continue on w/ "doctor's orders" (light duty, etc).... so that you will heal quickly and get back in the swing of things!

Hope you have a good 4th, as well! Take care, Jim --Tina

Jim, was wondering about you, so glad you had your surgery, hope your blood sugar is being monitored.
Many many prayers for a good recovery and hope you continue to improve some each day...
Thinking of you and sure hope you get great success with this surgery!

Stray, Houston finally got into the triple digits today before the heat index and ya know we have it humid over here... but sure beats cold winters, just lounging indoors today!

All my incisions except one are healing up just fine, but I have one that has managed to become infected.

I have about 4 more days worth of antibiotics left from when I had an abscess tooth and am taking those and then I go in and see the surgeon on Friday and will get some more if it is not cleared up.

Hi Jim, gla to hear you are progressing right along except for the infection. Hopefully this will get resolved with the medicine you are taking for it. This should help make you feel somewhat better. Keep up the good work on the recovery.....Susie

Went to the doctor yesterday and he does not think that the one incision is actually infected but rather it is simply the way it is healing. Guess I will just keep a close eye on things and hopefully it will get better soon.

Hope so too, Jim, glad its not infected. Surgical healings can have a mind of their own sometimes.

Good luck with the rest.
