Hello,
I had a carpal tunnel surgery in May of 2013 with two trigger finger release. The ring finger and the index finger, on my right hand.
I have healed pretty nicely. However I have this bump that has formed along the tendon or ligament of the ring finger, it is in the upper palm. It is tender and has grown some in size. I had problems from right after surgery with this finger. It did not feel right. It was hard to squeeze and bend. I kept doing what the doc said. I kept massage and exercise that hand. I did not get PT. Just was told to do normal stuff and get back to what I do. It has taken a while to get the soreness out and I still have some soreness in the heal of my hand, but this knot in the palm and under my ring finger is a bother.  I went back to the doc and she said I have Dupuytren's Contracture disease.  I googled it and I just do not buy it. I use my hands a lot. I am a maintenance Service manager. I have always used my hands.  Hard working hands. But this knot does not feel right and I do not buy that I have this disease.  Has anyone heard of complications after trigger finger release?  Has anyone else had a bump? Would anyone like to share their input to help me understand?  I might need a second opinion.  Thank you for any information.

I have had both thumbs and two trigger fingers released, as well as carpal tunnel release. After one trigger finger release failed twice, I found out that I have Dupuytrens disease. Every time I have had hand surgery my nodules and cords grow very quickly.

I had surgery on one of my cords in June, but unfortunately it grew back almost immediately. As if right now, we are just waiting and watching. I don't want any more fine to my hands right now because I know from experience, it wi just make other things worse. I am waiting as long as I can, but know something will have to be done sooner rather later so I don't loose more function,

Hi MsFixit and welcome to CP! Sorry to see your having some post-op problems and please get another opinion. Just to satisfy yourself and make sure there's not something going on and getting missed.

Also go to the search features at the top of the patch and enter this question using trigger finger release and bump post-op and see if anyone's ever posted about this problem at HW.

Good luck to you and glad you joined!
