Howdy All,

I thought I drop in and let everyone know how I was. The last time I posted I was a bit depressed. Now I wouldn't say I suffer from depression but I do have my moments with it. Normally, it goes as quick as it comes. Thankfully, I am now feeling much better. I have had some physicians suggest I try Anti-Depressants but due to side effects I usually refuse. Personally, I find exercise to work so much better for me. It hasn't really helped with my pain but has made it easier to deal with.

Anyways, the real reason I've decided to post was to let everyone know that I have finally taken the plunge and enrolled in my local University. It was something I simply had to do and I am quite excited about it.
I start next week and will be studying Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences. I will attend part time to start with and see how it goes. One of concerns about all this is of course is how will my body deal with sitting in a classroom for 3 hours 3 times a week.

My pain management doctor and his nurse practitioner have been great and they are incredibly supportive of my decision. They will help in anyway they can.

I feel that if I don't do this now then I will regret it for the rest of my life. Truth be told I really don't want to be on disability forever and feel that I could return to work but I guess I have to wait and see.

Thanks for listening.

Glenn

Glen, nice to hear from you, glad you are doing well.  Good for you for enrolling, I hope you enjoy it.   I need to do the same. Actually I applied for my masters, but they require stuff  I haven't done yet, specifically GRE's, as I applied to a specific graduate program.  I need to change that and just apply for continuing ed  and then declare my major after I am enrolled. Again, good to hear from you.

Good for you Glenn. I had a tough time with college as well, but somehow I managed to make it through. It takes time and perseverance but you can make it if you put your mind to it. Good luck.
