I've started taking Pentasa about 5 days ago to see would it help with frequent D and it seems to be making things worse so far. Usualy i could have D most days but maybe 1 day in 3 i would be free of it. Now i just seem to have non stop since taking the Pentasa and i'm really disappointed that it's not taking effect. Am i just impatient and need to give it more time or should i have noticed a difference within a few days.
I also take Questran and i am wondering could the Questran be cancelling out the effect of the Pentasa. Although i always wait at least 4/5 hours after taking Questran before i take the Pentasa.
Anybody any idea??

Questran should be binding you up. It did for me the first few days i took it but then it didnt work no more. I was never on pentasa and questran at same time. I am on pentasa now but with this disease it is so hard to tell were all this comes from if it is side effects of medications, food, etc. There were a few other who have crohns in terminal illieum and cant handle pentasa. I have it there too but i have been on pentasa since sept of 07. I m not in remission but on steriods and humira injections. Have to see if i can get off steriods before i can tell anything.
