sad    Good morning to you all, I really hope everyone is doing better.  On dec 26, doc told me to come down on pred again, to 10mg one day then 0 the next. On andd on.  Each day it seems my pain is coming back worse. Not enough for me to un-earth the pain meds, but certainly enough for me to seriously consider it!!! Horrible gas IMMEDIATELY after eating.  Bloating (Iguess), I swell up and it hurts!! hahaha  So today was my 0 day, I took the usual 10mg. I called doc yesterday and of course he was not in, nurse can't tell me what to do but she can advise or agree if I suggest something. So...I see the doc on tuesday, in the meantime, I'll try the 10mg daily again. Am I coming off too soon or to big a dose?  I am still on 100mg Imuran daily.  I take mine in the morning with the pred cause I kept forgetting it at night. I am horrible at remembering meds at night. I couldn't seem to get self on a schedule!
yeah   :-) Now for the good news!!  My d that has had so much trouble with carrying the baby to term delivered a healthy baby girl yesterday (1-04). Her water broke at home at 2';20am, we got to hosp at 3;30am, Jordan Drew was born at 4;22am.  Short labor, that's the way to go!! Only with the hemangioma in her brain, daughter couldn't push ANY cause it was a risk of blowing the hemangioma, that was hard on her, but baby just slid right out, doc barely got there in time to catch her!!  She weighed in at 5lbs 6ozs and 18 in long. Head full of black hair (like her mom was!). They are coming home today!! My 13th grandchild. Hopeefully my last!! hahahaha  The baby was only 3 days from being "term" actually the 28 this month was the due date. So dau did good at keeping her in there long enough!!  See ya all later!

First off, sorry you are feeling bad.  I think your doc is reducing your Pred too fast.  I think until your appt go back on the 10mg.  You should maybe try going to 5 mg for a week and then 2.5 mg for a week.  A little slower taper is usually called for.  JMHO!

And secondly, congratulations on the new grandbaby. I have 5 myself, and think they are the greatest thing.  I wish you all much joy and love with this new little one.

God Bless,

Congratulations on the baby girl!! That's something to smile about.

I agree, sounds like the Prednisone taper is too quick. Feel better soon :-)

Congratulations on the new grandbaby. I was a grandmother for the first time Dec. 5th.
Your daughter did remarkably well....she must have some of your tenacity and courage.
