Sorry, I haven't been able to view the forum for a few days.
I wasn't given and medication after surgery, aside from the temporary pain meds.
I never even saw a gastroenterologist for all those years. I would take immodium if I was going to be eating and drinking alchohol, just to slow things down until I got home. That worked for many years, and no one really knew I had any illness.
I recently developed pancreatitis after 3 weeks on 6MP, and I also got a rash from pentasa, so once I stop the Entocort completely, I will just have to follow a bland, low residue diet. Occassionly I will cheat, but I know how it will make me feel. Also, I find that eating smaller portions makes a huge difference. I can eat almost anything as long as it's a very small amount. But, absolutely no cottage cheese! Hope this helps. How are you feeling?
