I am wondering if a raw diet can help with Crohns.  Fortuantely, my symptoms are fairly mild for now but I am still trying to get some serious infamation down in my ilium.  I also found out yesterday that the polyp my Dr removed during the colonoscopy was precancerous.  I am only 28 yrs old and am haveing a reality check on keeping my digestive tract healthier.  I have read that a completely raw diet would not be good for me b/c I have anemia, but I am wondering if I replaced 2 meals with raw foods if that could be beneficial.  Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!

I personally(as well as many other cronies)try to avoid raw foods. They are much harder to break down & usually always increase my inflammation.
I am sorry to be gross, but if I can recognize foods in the toilet,I try to avoid them.

I would suggest trying soft, bland foods & maybe even consider trying liquids such as boost or ensure.

Good luck & take care!

Well I looked up the Raw Food diet. If I ate that I think I would be dead tomorrow or at least wishing I was. JMHO!
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

LOL.....Thanks for the input. I have been juicing some fruits and veggie and have been doing pretty good for the most part. I have heard that a lot of people like the raw diet but wasnt sure about it being done with Crohns! I am new to the crohns stuff so I dont really know what triggers I have yet.....I know for a fact corn, milk, and red sauce are no no's but havent tested too many other foods to see yet, been sticking to the safe foods!
