I am having to drink the golytly in the morning for my surgery on Monday. I was wondering if there is anything I could do to make it taste a little better? i have heard you can mix it with sprite just need info please.

It has been years since I have drunk it, but the best thing I ever found was to drink it really cold. You will end up freezing by the end, so bundle up. Something about drinking a cold drink and how fast it makes everything move out of you. I hope your surgery goes well.

Drink it cols and then I always drink a BIG sip of something in between cups! That is what got me through my colonoscopy while in the hospital sick as heck in December! So if that helped me @ all, maybe it will for you! Maybe some Gatorade or Apple Juice after each cup?
Let me know!
Good Luck to You!

Slow down the intake. The point is to clean out the other end, if you can't keep it down it won't do its job. Try taking it a little slower. If you have any anti nausea meds, take that and then wait for it to kick in before taking any more golytly. You only need to take enough golytly to make your yourself run clear, so when that happens you can stop. If you continue to throw it up and can't make it through the prep, you will have to call your doctor. There must be an emergency number. They should have some sort of back up plan. You are not the first person this has happened to. I don't know why they continue to use this barbaric prep, it makes most of us violently ill and there are much easier preps available now.

I feel so bad for you. I hope you can make it through the day and that surgery goes well.

You deserve a rest. Take it easy for the rest of the day. Just curl up close the the bathroom and cuddle up with a blanket, a pet or loved one and just relax. You have had a long day. Good luck tomorrow. ((((hugs))))

A while ago we proposed renaming that stuff "Goharshly" or "Goforever." I feel for you. Prayers for a speedy recovery and lasting relief.
Take care. Lois
