I read in one of your posts that you go to a naturopath.  I've been thinking about having my son go to one, but am not really sure what to expect.  Is this something you would recommend?  I live in New York state, so naturopaths are not licensed here and are not covered by insurance.  I think the first visit would cost around $180, so I was reluctant to go since I didn't know much about it.  But my son isn't doing as well as I would like, so I think it's time to try something else before putting him back on Prednisone or stepping up to Remicade.  Anything you could tell me about your experience with naturopathy would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Take care.
Nancy

I don't have tons of info, as this is new to me, but I will give you all I can think of. I am in spokane WA, and my insurance covered the visit, but not the tests. I had saliva and stool tests. i would ask around and find someone that friends recommend. I think they vary a lot in what kind of testing they do. I found someone who came highly recommended and I feel well taken care of. feel free to email me if you want to talk more. yp

48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now just taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, probiotics, and vicodin as needed. Experimenting with gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.
