Hi all,

it's been a while since I have been online.  I have a question for Humira users.  I have been on Humira(40mg. injection)every other week.  I am suppossed to increase to once a week but I have been stuck in a cycle of non stop infections for three weeks now.  Bronchitis, thrush(never goes away despite oral anti biotic), vaginal yeast infection, eye infection, tooth infrection, folliculitis etc.  I have been on Humira since August.  I just found out that a good friend was diagnosed with Herpes simplex or possibly shingles.  I spent a good portion of my day with her on Saturday.  Should I call my doctor.  I know that I am heading down the road to a hospital stay.  The last time that I was like this I acyually had pneumonia but the Doctors blamed Remicade for that.  I am just feeling so discouraged.  It has been 4 years since I have worked.  I am only 46.  I am for the most part housebound.  I know that I can get into a place where I just don't want to deal with anymore medical stuff.  I have epilepsy as well and have been seizure free for sometime until Sundaty when I has 2 grand mal seizures.  I think I have a urinary tract infection or stones(painful).  I just feel like my body is breaking down and I can't keep up with anymore.  Please tell me things will get better...

sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time of things. it seems like things just go to hell in a handbasket with us crohnies, huh? None of us are lucky enough to have just ONE ailment. We all have twenty-seven-some-odd various and assorted problems. All I can stress is how important it is for you to be comfortable with and to feel like your doctor is doing what needs to be done. I know when I was at the lowest of my lows, having a good doctor that addressed me as an ENTIRE human being made all the difference. You can't piece yourself out into the different ailments and the different specialist doctors that go with them, and the different colored pills that go with each... Whenever I get to that point, I have to take a deep breath and regroup.

My thoughts are with ya tonight.
