Is Crohn's tied to Cysts?

I have read quite a few entries on this site that have mentioned cysts.  My husband and I are planning to try to conceive this year and, of course I can go to my doctor and have myself checked out, but am curious as to if Crohn's and cysts are tied together.

Don't think it is related. I have never had a problem and even come from a family where there are problems.

I have Crohn's - have had it for 11 years... I have 1 child... I've had 3 resections 1 prior to baby, 2 after - no problems with cysts or getting pregnant... now my child is almost 7 - we thought about having another baby... I went off the Nuvaring - and immediately started having abdominal pain - the scary kind... also had to get off azathioprine for 60 days... so OUCH - CT shows cysts... we tried for 4 months - very painful cysts every time. Also - now I'm 35 and have had 2 more surgeries... pain could be related to scar tissue. If you want to have a baby - spin the wheel and go for it :-)

I'm sure there's a correlation - but there's "nothing they can do" for cyst pain except Tylenol 3. So I'm back on Nuvaring...

Diagnosed 8/96, 2 bowel resections, many hospitalizations, CD only in terminal ileum. Currently on Azathioprine, Wellbutrin & sometimes Xanax!!
