Well after a year of remission, and quite frankly enjoying life being symptom free, it was great being able to work out again with no side effects whatsoever. Anyways, begin having a flare end of November, went on the 40mg/day of Pred, tapered down to 15mg/day by early Jan but then thats as far as i got, back up to 25mg/day and STILL not getting better, in fact i am getting worse as far as blood results go, i feel better at the moment, but my WBC from last week is the highest it has ever been in the history of me having crohns, currently at 17.8 (normal is 4.5-11). So i am currently in a semi decent amount of discomfort as i get ready to take my 250mg/day of Imuran before i head to bed....

So it looks like 25mg/day of Pred in combination with 250mg/day of Imuran (which i have been taking for over a year now) is no longer effective, it scares me because i was lucky and had no side effects really with either drug (they are the only two drugs i have ever taken) and i am pretty sure i am going to get prescribed something else now that it appears my body just flushes the Imuran down the drain.

Ugh, i dont like testing new drugs out, this blows the big one!

Oh, and i cant gain a pound if my life depended on it, eating about 5,000-6,000 calories a day now with no result, stuck at 235lbs and not budging, boooooooo

Sorry, didnt really specify in my original post, but was looking for a little feedback if anyone else has had no reaction (side effects or helping the disease) from imuran
