If you are a patient with Crohn's Diease AND on Remicade, please reply "yes" or "no" to this question (and please soon). 
Do you have a thorough understanding of how remicade helps your body/what it does?

I think that the best weapon that one can having in fighting this disease is knowledge.  For nearly the past 4 years, I have been receiving my Remicade infusions every 4 weeks.  Other than the painkillers and steroids, it was the first major medication that I was placed on after being diagnosed.  I made it a point to understand and research everything that I could about both Remicade and Crohn's disease.  It is through this research, that I have gained both faith and trust in my doctors.

I did, but like everything else, I forget and constantly have to go back and review it.

I wouldn't say it was a "thorough" understanding.
Dx: Crohn's disease, antiphospholipid antibody syndrom 12/2002; ileostomy 12/2002; sleep apnea, 2006, asthma
Meds: Remicade every 8 wks; synthroid, very low dose; Lovenox while preggers otherwise coumidan; 6MP suspended while preggers; flonase; albuterol; flovent; VSL #3 probiotic
Other: saggital sinus thrombosis, 2002, with complete recovery; thyroid nodule; currently pregnant, due 2/6/2007
