Anybody ever see this on CT scan.  I either have diverticulitis (had it 5 times before) or have complication from Chrohns in colon.  Which my Dec Scope showed active in the lower colon.  The Phlegmon sounds like a precursor to abcess?????  Anyway after 9 days of cipro and flagyl I still have lower back ache, side ache and oddly no fever, but a very low body temp.  Like to hear what you guys have to say on the matter. thanks.  NCY

Well, basically phlegmon is acute, pus and inflammation of subcutanous tissue. Are you by any chance on an immuno-suppressant? I've been told that immunosuppressants can suppress or "hide" a fever. Which possibly answers why when so many times when I feel feverish my temp is "normal", i.e, 97.x to maybe even 98.x, few times even 99.x, yet other times when I feel just fine my temp is sometimes as low as 94.6. My "normal" temp seems to run around 96.7 to 97.4. I've never thought to connect my temperature to the dose of Imuran I'm on at the time. (And, yes, I've double-check between regular mercury thermometer and digital thermometer).
Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I am not on any other drugs except Asacol, Ativan, small dose of beta blocker and Ambien CR (I have had unrelenting insomnia for 9 months).  I have been feeling so weak and tired for the last 6 months I don't spend much time out of bed.  I have been on the meds 10 days today, and I still feel an ache in my back and side.  I am really scared with all my other problems what the outcome will be with this.  They just sent me home no big deal.

My temp is usually low normal too, but the mercury will hardly go past 96.  I have the old style and a digital one.
