Hi,
Has anyone been on 6MP and had a rash that is not all over but localized in certain areas(hands, forearm, knee, shoulder not on both sides or on face at all)?
I have been on it for 5 weeks or so and upped the dose by the GI last week. The rash is a new thing. They are tiny bumps, itchy and burn when warm(shower, sun or under clothes) and when I stop the Atarax(for itching it comes back).
This is not like hives. Just very strange. Can this happen after weeks of therapy. Is it an allergy or just perhaps a side effect?
Thanks if you have any exp with this pleae share.

Skipped my dose today and it seems to be clearing. I even feel less weak and yucky.
The doctor takes 4ever to call back but I know that one missed daya won't kill me. The skin is
much calmer now. Is it an allergy or side effect, don't know , but I cannot take antihistamines
all the time, just at night or when at home.

Please be sure to get in touch with your doc. Skin rash with 6mp can be a sign of many things such as overly suppressed white blood cells (which is what 6mp is supposed to do) or liver issues. Hopefully, you just need a bit more hydration or are having a reaction to something else. But definitely keep after your doc. Best of luck to you.

Thanks Sammies. I actually was thinking about the liver too. I think the drug dose is on the toxic side for me.
