Just a question.....I usually have very thin, pencil like stool, but occasionally I'll have the pencil like stool and then suddenly have a massive round stool that is very difficult to pass. Is it possible to have diverticuli in some parts of your colon and CD in another?

Yes. Two scopes ago, on the way out after checking for Crohns ulcerations (had only one small one, well controlled on 6mp) my GI paused and said "Hey, want to see a diverticulum?" Diverticular disease is pretty common in all people as we get older, Crohns or not, but mine was and remains asymptomatic, as with most people. The only issue is when one gets inftected, which leads to actual diverticulitis and requires rapid interventiion and possibly surgery.

Yes it is possible to have both.  Fiber seems to be the suggestion for all.
Take care

Yes it is possible...and fibre is highly recommended for Diveritculosis, fibre aids with D or C it's just a matter of fine tuning it and drinking plenty of water is very important as well.
