I have had bad stomach pains since wednesday morning not matter what I do they do not seem to go away. The pain seems to be my whole stomach not just the LRQ like usual, the pain also radiates into my lower back sometimes. I am wondering when you would go to the ER, I had a bm yesterday so I am fairly sure it is not a blockage but my appendix is inflamed and there is a fecalith in it. what would you do? Do you think I should just wait it out to see if it gets worse?

I would go to the ER if you end up in severe pain tonight and either way call your doctor first thing in the mornng and request an emergency appointment. Do you have an urgent care clinic you could go to instead of the ER? You could also try calling your GI's office. Often there is an on-call doctor that will call you back to answer any questions. Good luck!

I hope you are feeling better. if you are still in a lot of pain I would also suggest to make a visit to the Er or and urgent care clinic.

If you are asking the question then maybe you should be seen? all over pain does not sound normal for you so something else could be going on so please at least call your Dr's office or see someone.

I tend to go to urgent care clinic's if I am unsure then I don't feel like I went to the ER for nothing and if they feel it is serious then they can send me to the ER anyway.

Hey there, if the pains started on Wed did you talk with your physician or were you seen in the clinic?  Just wondering if you received any advice from you GI ?

Yes, go to the ER if things are bad as you do not want anything to get worse by waiting. eyes

Well I decided to wait it out (not smart I know) but they seemed to be getting better every once in awhile I get some sharp pains but not as bad as Wednesday and Thursday. I didn't call my GI, there is no point he takes days to call back. If things get bad again I will go in I just don't want to worry my dad he has enough going on right now and my mom is gone on vacation for 2 weeks. Hopefully it will get better soon thanks for everyones input and concern :)

Hey there, just remember we are here and please post if you need advice or want to vent.  Be safe and use the ER if you have to

No I haven't gotten a hold of him yet but the pain started again last night,so I will see how it is when I am done work today and I might go in. I just hate going to the ER cause they treat me like I am a little kid and pretty much ignore me unless my parents are there ( I am 23 but I look 17) if I do go in I might see if my cousin can come with me

I recommend seeing a doctor asap. Bring someone with you.

They sould at least do an ultra sound and look in the area.
