I have just started humira...been on for about 2 months....I think its great overall. During my first month i had a strange flair that lasted 1 week but after a short corse of flagyl and cipro i resumed. Overall humira has improved the quality of my life so far....I have noticed that i am considerable less achy and my frequent bouts with mouth sores has gone away. the injections kinda suck but i think its worth it......I couldnt get relief anywhere else. Humira has a help line and their customer care is great. they will answer questions or send a nurse to you to show how 2 give shots.....if i can offer any more info please feel free to ask.

Thank you so much for the info TW123! That is definitely encouraging! Were you on Remicade before going on Humira, and if so, for how long?

I was on humira for about 2 years and it was helpful. not enough, but it helped me. i realized how much it helped AFTER I got off of it. I'd been stable at weekly humira with 20-30 mg of Pred daily. Post humira, i am back to 40-60mg daily and i'm in far worse shape than i was w/ the humira. but i'm trying new things. In the office where i did the humira drug study, there were 20+ people on humira as a study drug and ALL had improvement of some sort. So there is hope!

BTW - I was on remicade (and it worked!!!) until i built up anti-bodies to it. so i don't take remicade anymore.

Thank you for the info jid! How long were you on remicade for before you built up anti-bodies? My doc just put me on endocort to help w/ the mild flare I am going through (tapered off the prednisone about 6 weeks ago), and I'm still on the remicade. It will be about another month before I get my "maintenance" infusion and my doc just told me I am also going to get an IV of prednisone at the same time I get my remicade infusion. I just want to be in remission w/out the use of prednisone (in the past I have always flared 3-6 weeks after tapering). What medications are you taking now? I hope you are in remission! Keep me posted!
