I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago and have been fluctuating 10lbs up and 10lbs down.  I am at the point where I can't get rid of the 10lbs.  What can I try?  I have been able to eat more different foods since I've been on different pills as of December and am feeling great.  I have much more energy and am exercising more at home.  I even bought a Gazelle.  I am on the Gazelle about 20-30 min every other day.  I don't eat late and am trying to just drop these 10lbs and I'm getting extremely frustrated.  I've always been pretty thin and my husband and I are also trying to get pregnant being that i'm in remission now.  I will take any advice.

Well, if you're still on the entocort you could have 10 pounds sticking around from retaining fluid.  Otherwise, it sounds like you are doing the right thing by exercising, the only other tip I have is to do some strength training in addition to the cardio you are already doing.  Even something that doesn't involve weights, like lunges or situps, will build muscle and help you lose weight.  Don't feel too bad if you can't lose weight while on entocort though, I've never ever been able to lose weight while on steroids :P

Could point. My doctor wants to take me off Entocort by the end of March so I guess trial and error will begin then. Can't wait to see if I can lose some of this after I stop the meds. Thanks for pointing the steroid out. I had forgotten about it. I'm not sure how you could forget about something so powerful that helps your body so much. . . =)

Hey there my new friend,

A Gazelle, please tell me what is a Gazelle?  Do you keep it in the house? devil I assume it is a piece of exercise equipemnt.  Remember whenyou  first tart to work out you build muscle which weighs more than fat.

The water retention may also be your problem.
Take care and Hugs to ya

tongue   A gazelle is a much cheaper version of the ellyptical machine.  MUCH cheaper.  Does the trick.  And I know about the muscle weighing more than fat but I feel it in my clothes.  My doctor wants to take me off the Entocort next week and I'm hoping that by stopping the steroid that I can lose a few lbs and also feel good still.  I'm a little nervous because I've been feeling fine for a couple months and hope to stay that way but changing the med combo is a little nerve-racking.
