I posted a while ago about having trouble getting my surgeon to believe I had an abscess. He got a look at my actual films from my ct scan and saw what I had been feeling. So, I had surgery to remove the abscess yesterday. I'm at home recovering now and even though I'm in pain I feel so much better knowing that this is taken care of! Just thought I'd let you all know!

What a relief Mailbu! And not just knowing why you were feeling so miserable, but also the satisfaction that comes from knowing that your surgeon now knows that the misery that prompted you to seek help was caused by abscesses. Sometimes, the hardest part of this disease is when we know there is something wrong, but our health providers can't seem to find a reason for our pain and misery. I'm glad you have your answers and are on the road to recovery.

Wow glad someone finally found the answer to all your pain. Hope your surgery was a success and you are on the road to recovery. Be sure to rest up and take it easy for awhile. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

And they say the doctor knows best..........lol.  I am glad you advocated for yourself and now this surgery is behind you.  I hope you are soon up and about and the pain becomes just a memory.
