Anyone else deal with this? This is not new--been happening for years--but wondering if anyone has any tips to help the pain subsie. My right side is killing me--feels like muscle ache but when I press, I can feel the mass that develops when my terminal ileum is flaring. I can get my knee to my chest, but I'm uncomfortable. I don't have too much cramping right now but definitely the big D which I'm trying to stave off with immodium. Was doing so much better this week but decided to eat fish stew, pastry, sausage, and potato chips over the last few days. ugh. Should have stayed with the chix broth. Leaving for a big trip next week and hoping the pain subsides.

I too have TI inflammation the worst. When it gets really bad, I get on my hands and knees and lower my head to the floor. This helps me to pass some gas and relieve some of the tension. Careful; if you are having D as this posture can lead to accidents :(

Also I use one of these cloth bags filled with buckwheat (I think) that you put in the microwave for a couple of minutes to warm up. Put that on your belly for a few. That sometimes helps too.

Mmmmm, sausage. You're only human right? Pizza used to be my weakness, but I haven't had a piece in years. I just see a big steaming pile of stomach ache. Stay away from the travel food on your big trip. That's my secret on trips; pack food so that you're not tempted to eat all the BS they have in airports and/or gas stations and fast food restaurants.

Good luck,

Sorry, you are having problems.....Sure hope you are feeling better for your trip! My daughter has been complaining of sharp pains on her right side and what feels like back spasms. I guess that must be from her ileum, as hers is inflammed. She uses a heating pad alot. She has bentyl but says that doesn't help with that pain only the abdominal cramps/pains. I will be thinking of you and will be praying for you! Lots of love & laughter to you!
