I took my syringe of Humira out of the refrigerator late last night to bring to room temperature. I watched the news and then went to bed. This morning I realized I forgot to give myself the shot! It was out on the kitchen counter for 9 hours. I left a message for the on-call nurse at My Humira. I was able to contact my pharmacist at Curascript at 8:00 am, and was told it was OK to give the shot. Apparently, Humira can be at room temperature for up to 24 hours. I really need to get more sleep... This CRS is getting scary.

Whew! When I was in the trial for Humira my trial nurse dropped the first syringe from the loading dose on the floor... We had to throw it away! Yikes! Glad to hear you were able to use it after all!

Sr559 and Glad Bag, thanks for sharing your Humira stories - I don't feel so bad now. I've always managed the shot quietly and never bothered to tell anyone in my family that it's Humira day. I'm going to tell them from now on so they'll remind me to give it. I seem to be getting more forgetful by the minute.

I forgot to take mine at home the other night. So there I sat at work, office door closed, ice pack on leg and syringe laying in wait. Would probably have freaked if anyone came in but that's what happens to us CRS people!
