Hey Guys;

I had a colon test today, to evalute my stricture so I could get setup with remicade, and the test was not that bad at all.

Today one doc put some white milky stuff in my IV and the next thing I knew I was in recovery. I don't remember any part of the test, other than going into the room.

My mom was my designated driver, and she and I were talking about when I was much younger. She reminded me of the colon tests years ago(about 20), when they did not give any drugs at all for it.(rough times)

Keeping fingers crossed, as the g.i. could find no active inflammation, and the pediatric scope had no problems going through my stricture, which is great news.

Take Care

Hey Guys;

Got the results of my test.

No active inflammation, which means my g.i. doesn't want to use remicade at the moment, unless I can push him into it, I dunno. confused

The stricture close to my rectum has actually gotten better over time. The g.i. who did the test(not my treating g.i.), said he had no trouble passing the pediatric scope through this stricture. He also said that ALOT of my right side large intestines was removed. Where my terminal illeum used to be, there is a 2nd stricture, but that happens quite often. This second stricture was also ok, and I had a barium test with small bowel follow through which showed the barium "whooshing" through this 2nd stricture/narrowing.

If the g.i. was able to get all the way up to my terminal illeum, and he made it far enough to take pictures of the small intestines on the other side, does this mean I have about as much colon as the scope is long?

As always thanks for reading my post, and any replies are welcomed.
