I did not vote because my answer isn't up there. I would love to spend time in the chat rooms but when I go there no one is there. After a few trials I stopped checking in.

ok, guys...!! thanks for responses....sjkly, i understand..my experience, too, but we are here for each other..or why are we here? let's get into chat more often, people;i know it's a busy(or too sick to want to talk..)kust say "hello, i'm too sick to talk today" tell ppl in chat that;we undeerstand, & it's an introduction(i don't mean do that if you're literally having such a bad day you can't move or get out of bathroom...you know;it's the difference between a little extra effort & giving up...).
if you have crohn's you know that;i have days i do give up..temporarily & just try to rest;can't heal by pushing yourself off a cliff, but there are those days you can do alittle something;consider saying "hi"on chat;good ppl on there. so , be patient, sjkly....i plam to pop into crohn's as much as it & the cfs will let me;i have neglected this wonderful place & i regret it & apologize & will do better;and as for new members, chat is so simple to fimd;except for me..it took me ages to navigate anywhere, but then i cannot even touch type...& got a "d" i hs typing...ask a moderator if you see the forums & chat box after you log in, ok? let's talk, ok? litrano..did i get that right? you are new....welcome;you will like it here once you get used to it & to some of us (goofballs..speaking only for myself;i can't navigate my way out of a paper sack!); but this is a great place to be, to learn, make friends, laugh, give & get support;come on crohn's people, let's show everybody who we are!!!! thanks, artpainter(i'm a girl by the way..my brother & husband make me tougher..stronger..so do all of you) so, let's do it!!

Hey Artpainter, nice to see you here.  I don't use the chat rooms but I know some of the forums have scheduled chats for their members. Any of the other members know if this is a practice in this forum.

I just wanted to let you know you are always welcome here and we are glad to see you back on the boards.

You are a great member and we support you.

Hugs

I think that anyone can take it upon themselves to set up a chat time and post it, then that way you may get more showing up in the chat room...I don't think that only mods can set up chat's I think anyone can set up a chat time and date....give it a try artpainter, I'll bet you'll have success.

Thanks pb4.  I know members can enter chat rooms anytime as there is almost always some open.

I have not had any requests for set time chats. I appreciate your help.

We used to have chats 3 or 4 times a week and that was a lot of fun. However, attendance at these chats began to slack off and then problems with the chat program made holding regular chats very difficult.

Currently, the whole of the chat program can only accomodate a max of 20 members. For a while, we had and "entrance" room and many would gather there. If enough were chatting, members who wanted to sign in for a regular chat couldn't gain access. Then we began to encounter a glitch which would dump everyone out of the chatrooms about every 15 minutes or so. Having to keep signing back in got frustrating and eventually, we just gave up on the chats.

If there is enough interest, we can always begin having regular chats again. Meanwhile, anyone can post that they are going to the chatroom and ask others to joint them.
